Generic problem for all Printers
I have a canon i9100

I have a canon i9100 that flashes amber 8 times before the long green flash, and a canon s9000 that flashes alternately green/amber 10 times before the long green flash - any idea what these error codes are? I have cleaned the waste ink pads and tried the reset for this on both to no avail. Where can I find out what these codes represent?
Any help would be very much appreciated and I am becoming pickled in ink.
