Two possibilities, one the correction tape is twisted and the wrong side is .facing the paper. The shinny side should be facing you, the dull side facing the paper. Second possibility you must make sure the ribbon is compatible with the correction tape. There are 2 types of ribbons. A correctable one (orange or yellow knob) and a multi strike (blue or purple knob on ribbon cartridge). The lift off correction tape (orange or yellow spools) only works with the correctable ribbon and the cover up correction tape (blue) works with the multistrike ribbon.

Describe your nakajima ae-800 Problem : When I press the correction key it sometimes does not stop correcting . What's wrong with the machine ? My supplier told us to change 2 key switches and lift off...

It sounds like the correction key is sticking down or you had a keyboard spill. Press the correction key and see if it comes up quickly. If not gently pry the key off look for debris or stick residue under it.

My keyboard has suddenly stoped working correctly, I think its due to me messing around with the Function Keys. Any ideas

I believe the num lock key is truned ON. IF yes, then whenever you type, it will give you only number. Try the steps below to unlockit:
Keep on holding the "Fn" Key and then press F11 (Numlk) key. i.e Fn+F11
It should take care of the issue.

Thanks and regards,
