I have no visual output. Please Help!

Ok, I have a ATi Visionteck 1600XT installed. I tried running the computer from the built in VGA port, and it obviously told me to plug it into the card. Once I plugged it into the card, it stopped giving any visual output. I have now tried all ports. Is there anyway I can get visual back?

There may be a setting in the BIOS to tell the motherboard to use the PCIE slot instead of the built in video.

I am having a Problem with my video card not letting me run an addition monitor off the vga output on the motherboard. I know it works because I can go to the bios and change it and it works but they want...

When using a PCI or PCI-E graphics card, it will disable your standard VGA output port because the up-dated graphics card and your factory VGA port require different display drivers. Usually, the drivers are conflicting and will make your system unstable and cause it to crash. In short, you can't use both at the same time. I have a Radeon HD 5450 graphics card installed on my PC and it too has disabled my standard VGA port. If you are trying to use more than one monitor, you have to install a graphics card that supports a multiple display output. The graphics card will either have 2 VGA ports, 2 DVI-D ports or 2 HDMI ports or even any combination of the 3. My card, for example, has 1 VGA, 1 DVI-D & 1 HDMI. I can run up to 3 monitors at a time via my graphics card, but I cannot run a 4th monitor from my factory VGA port. My graphics card uses ATI/AMD drivers while my VGA port requires the use of Nvidia drivers.
I hope that you find this useful.

Analog output cannot display video mode

Hi, there!
Please check the connection of DVI or VGA cable which connect between your computer box and monitor. Check at the back of your computer box, how many VGA ports(the blue port)? If your computer box have 2 VGA ports( one in-built on-board and one from added graphic card), always connect to the one from added graphic card, not the one on-board. Hope this help. Thanks for readin.

Need to connect 3 monitors. Want to use either a Nvidia 290 or ATI Radeon 9250 plus the VGA port. Installing the dual-video card disables the VGA port, cannot get it back. Help!!!

Use your AGP dual-video card for two and using a PCI VGA card for the third. It is best if the same manufacturer video driver is used for both cards, as two different ones could be problematic.

I have 2 acer data managerment problem found in edata security software installation it says please close all running programs and reinstall edats security. the second one is catalyst control center is not...

> please close all running programs and reinstall edats security.

Close programs (word-processor, web-browser).
Click Start
Click Control Panel
Click Classic View
Click Add/Remove Programs
Click on EDATS SECURITY (or something approximately that)
Click Remove
Click OK
Shutdown
Restart
Reinstall the software

> catalyst control center is not supported by the friver [?]
> version of your enabled graphics adapter.

ATI (www.ati.com) distributes the "Catalyst" software with their adapter video-cards. So, there is a problem with the "Control Center" component of their software.

> please update your ati graphics,
> or enable your ati adapter using displays manager

First, do you have an add-in video-card in your computer?
If not, then you should not be trying to use the ATI software,
and you should remove it:
* click Start
* click Control Panel
* click Add/Remove Programs
* select the ATI Catalyst software
* click Remove
* restart your computer

Second, if you have added an ATI card, you may need to restart your computer, press DELETE to enter BIOS SETUP, and "disable" the "onboard" video-adapter, or change the video-priority so that the ATI video-card becomes the "primary" video-adapter, and the onboard video-adapter becomes the "secondary" video-adapter.
Then, click Save Changes, and before selecting Exit From Setup,
move the video data-cable from the onboard VGA port to the VGA port on the ATI video-adapter. Then, "blindly", click Exit, and let your computer restart. Then, during the reboot, the ATI software will recognize the new "primary" video-card, and will the software will control the ATI video-hardware.

Sometimes, it helps to have a second computer monitor, and connect one adapter to the "onboard" VGA-port, and the other to the ATI VGA-port, so that you can see video output wherever it is produced.

Ati mobility radeon 9000 agp

hi camperd55,

I believe you have the right adapter cable. According to my knowledge the Radeon 9000 supports TV output via RCA (check http://ati.amd.com/products/MobilityRadeon9000/index.html:" Mobility™ Radeon™ 9000 provides the highest quality output support for DVI-I, TV and CRTs.")

Firstly, it would be a good idea to make sure your TV has the 3 RCA jacks into which you will insert the adapter cable's 3 RCA connectors according to the colors of the connectors and jacks.

Secondly, if your laptop has a VGA port, you're set to connect your laptop to your TV, no hustles. If your laptop doesn't have a VGA port, your going to have to get a DVI-VGA converter, so you're setup will be something like: [laptop]-[DVI-VGA converter]-[VGA-3RCA adapter cable]-[TV's 3RCA jacks].

When you get your laptop's screen displaying on your TV, its merely a matter of using your recording equipment to record the TV's image as you would any program showing on the TV.

I hope this will help you solve your problem, thank you for using the FixYa service.

Kind regards
Henru : )
