SOURCE: Feedback humming noise

This is a tonearm issue. Your tonearm probably has a loose ground connection, or if you moved it recently, may have been damaged in transit. Also, try and move your turntable to a different location in the room. If your near any serious power source (light dimmer switch, microwave, frig, etc), it will only amplify the issue. But other than that, it sounds like a common tonearm issue, and you will need to have your tonearm replaced.

My subwoofer started making a loud sound like feedback and heated up so trying to troubleshoot this?

Subwoofers are just amps. The main cause of this will either be the main device on the board - perhaps attached to a heat sink, or perhaps a large electrolytic capacitor. But if there is something getting hot, then find that part and replace it. I suspect it will be the main device though!

How do I stop feedback through speakers

Well, a feebackback destroyer is oke, or a good equalizer, no cheap noisy one and take one with 31 channeles /channel and lower the trequencies where about where you hear it lower frequency frequency by frequency, until you have the frequency which gives the problem and keep the frequency low in volume . But there are more ways, like replacing you monitors a bit. A low noise graphic equalizer ain't cheap. I thought ART has reasonable anti feedback surpressors....

What causes motor boating with this subwoofer

Sometime an amplifier becomes a victim of feedback (or oscillation) within itself. This would normally be caused by a failed component; usually a capacitor.

On high gain amplifiers, poor wire routing can also cause feedback, or crosstalk between channels.

The amp might also have a power supply issue. The voltage regulation might not be good enough to keep the amp functioning properly.

This is a 4 channel amp that when i turn it a little loud it shuts off.. do you know how i can fix this? my other amp does this too and buts its an eclipse. but my mtx amp works fine.

it could be a number of things; speaker wiring, blown speaker giving overloading feedback, or if you are bridging it, you might have dropped the ohms below the tolerable impedence level.

Loud noise feedback in subwoofer

Try another boosted speaker set. Then check.
Something is probably wrong in the speakers, not worth fixing...they are pretty cheap to buy.

I had a cordless mic hiiked to my system and there seemed to be an overload of feed back evertime i got close to the sub. the feedback then got so loud that the sub stopped working

You need to reduce the level of the microphone so that is not so loud. Feedback can be controlled by equalizer adjustments and speaker positioning. Did the sub get blown out?

Kicker 8 inch 4 ohm subwoofer 200 watts rms?

Max 200 W. You could bridge 2 channels of a 4 channel amp (or get a 2 ch amp and bridge it) and connect the sub. Bridging = connect + of sub to + of one channel, and connect - of sub to - of *other* channel. Check amp manual for instructions.

Don't get a mono - most are 300W or more - might burn the coil during loud passages.

I wish to know the correct way to connect a Schneider 800w amp Model:spa-9705. What I have is a lead from my deck(marked sub woofer - 1 x red & 1 x black) but at the back of the amp in question it has 4 x...

Hello i_starlin606,

The Schneider SPA-9705 is a 4-channel bridgeable amp. How you intend to use it and what speaker(s) or subwoofer(s) you are connecting to it will determine the appropriate hookup.

If used to drive 4 sets of normal speakers, you would connect your front channels to one set of inputs (usually 1 and 2) and the rear channels to the other set. You would not use the subwoofer outputs coming from the deck.

If used to drive subwoofer(s), you would need two "Y" adapters with a female input side and 2 male outputs. The cables marked "subwoofer" would be plugged into the female "Y" and the male ends would be plugged into the 4 channel inputs on the amp (paired as 1-2 and 3-4). The front and rear preamp outputs on the deck would not be used.

Speaker/subwoofer connections will depend of the number of individual speakers or subs, whether they have single or dual voice coils, and the impedances of the voice coils.

Hope this helps.
