I have a whirpool duet ht washer that doesn't seem t want t spin on high. Trying to wash one coat by itself and it is soaking wet. Have tried drain/spin mode only but all it wants to do is rotate clockwise then stop and then rotate counter-clockwise but never on high speed. Please help.

If you only have one coat in there, that is a problem. It will notice the unbalanced load and shut the spin down and try to redistribute the load. Try adding a few wet towels to offset the weight of the coat. This will likely take care of the problem.

How do I get my duet to drain and spin only. I do not want to rinse.

I have a Whirlpool Duet, though possibly a different model. I had the same question. I finally figured it out. On p. 14 of the manual, there is a section "To drain the washer manually". This says to select the RINSE/DRAIN & SPIN cycle and deselect the EXTRA RINSE option. In this case it cancels ALL rinsing for the cycle. This is how you get a spin-only cycle! Talk about idiotic, obscure user-interface design and bad manual writing!!! Didn't they think people would want clear instructions how to get a spin-only cycle?

If you have trouble with things being too wet after washing & needing an extra spin, you should try lowering the spin speed when you wash. This is what the BULKY setting does. If you have an unbalanced load, the washer cannot get up to the high spin speed the normal cycle calls for, and it is so dumb that it gives up and gives you a soaking wet load at the end instead.

Duet Sport HT WFW8400TE Washer: Whirlpool Duet Sport HT front loader is stopping b...

First check your washer plug to see if the connections are tightly screwed. Next check your filter if you haven't for long.

Remove the 3 screws at the bottom of the front panel under the washer door. Your filter door will be light brown. If you find a hose there it is to drain out excess water (water that could not be drained by your pump) After you hv drained unscrew the cap and remove all the junk inside. Have a large plastic bag to catch junk and water. Refit carefully after cleaning out. If not solved, something shd be blocking your pump, check this out

How abt a nice rating for the free help? Thnks

My whirpool duel washer agitates or washes but

have you replaced the motor control. i had this happen 1 year ago and had to have it replaced. i am having the same problem and have done some testing but have not found anything else. you can buy this part from whirpool for about $160 delivered to your home. this is exactly how it acted the 1st time it went out. some loads would spin out great and the next load would be wet.

My 9150 doesn't spin well and my clothes are very wet, when they come out. Then when I try to spin & drain only, it wants to run for 4 hours. Looking at the problems how good of a product did I buy.

from the description you are giving, i would guess that: 1. the "coin-catcher" ahead of the pump is plugged. 2. the tub is overloaded. 3. the loads are heavy, bulky [ blankets, jeans, towels]. when a load is too big or it is all very absorbent materials, the machine tries to balance the load before it goes into a final spin, it will not spin on high if it cannot balance - remember, ten towels or pairs of jeans soaked with water is darned heavy - mix the loads i'm familiar with this machine because i have one, i repair washers and dryers as part of my job, in my opinion, the duet is the best and most reliable washer available

Whirpool duet is making a clacking noise on the spin cycle.

Reach inside and see if there is any play to the inner/spin tub (up and down) . Tub may be seperating from mounting and spindle assembly.

My clothe come out very wet at the end of the wash cycle

If the pump is clogged and can't release all the water it won't go into final high spin. Remove lower cover and locate coin catch and unscrew it. Water will come out, so be ready. If it's full of stuff, this is probably the problem.

LG front load washer/ clothes still wet after final spin

The heavy jacket prevented the washer from spinning at a rapid pace, so I added a heavy bathrobe to absorb some of the water and to balance the load. The washer then spun very quickly and drained out all the water.

I have a whirlpool duet washer & the clothes will not spin out the water when the washer is done they are still soaking wet?

possible that with the machine not draining, its not going to high speed spin try this:

you can access the drain pump assy by removing the 3 screws across the bottom of front panel, after that youll see the drain pump directly in front of you, youll need to unscrew t he filter cap form the "button trap"assmebly, this is what catches all the junk left in pockets, or the baby socks, so they dont make itr into the puppmp itself. be warned there will be water wanting to come out after unscrewing the cap. ALOT depending on amount of water in machine!!!!!!
