-   My Panasonic PT56TW53 projection TV has a red double image above the expected image. There is also a "wow" or "wave" in the middle of the red image. Is it worth repairing vs new TV? What is the cost of an IC if that is the problem, and how easy is it to replace?-   kirks25

-   This sound similar to my problem. There is a second red image above the expected image and ther is a "wow" or "wave" in the middle of the red picture. Right now it is just one color. It is a Panasonic PT 56TW53. What is the cost of an IC and is it worth repairing vs a new TV? -   kirks25
youre convergence ICs need to be replaced, there are two ICs. If you respond to this same post with your model number I will post the correct IC numbers that you need and a link where you can get them with free shipping and free instalation instructions.

My 2002 Sony 57" died last month. The cost to fix the B board and install three new tubes will be $815.00. I decided to buy new.
I would prefer a 70"+ plasma, but with the $40k price tag. NO thanks. Anywayz.
My living area is rather large. I sit 14 feet back from the TV, so a larger screen size will suit my needs much better than the average 42-50" displays.
I have been looking at the mitsubishi 73" and 82" series C9 (73" only), 737 and 837 series. I have read several complaints on older mits models, but have come across few or none concerning the new model series listed above. I understand the lamp will need to be replaced and I guess I would deal with that problem once a year or so, if it were.
I would like some advice and thoughts regarding these models. I wonder if it would be a decent investment or would I just be entering into trouble land. If the problems are to problematic I guess I would just settle with a 65" but get the panasonic plasma, which I don't think I would have any issues with.
However, due to the living room size, I would like to settle for the larger display IF the newer series mits are quality items.
Thank you for your response.

Hi Sony Expert - We have a FD Trinitron KV-32HS500. It does not run on. the red LED blinks 6 times for a while, then 4, 5 and 7 times. For a week or so it would come on after being off for 24+ hours, but not anymore. What is the likely problem and method or cost of repair. I checked the LED error codes at Sony site. In-home repair is $290 labor plus parts. Should I fix or not? Thanks. Craig

The image on all output sources is flickering. This is not an input issue as I tried different sources. The bulb is fine and I have not done over 3000 hours on the system
