Hi, issken, many thanks for your attention. Actually, I had already downloaded a lot of stuff fromhttp://esupport.sony.com before asking you guys for help, but I still coudn't find the proper software to get mey shortcut buttons working again. There are six of it: AV Mode; mute, + and - for volume, capture (camera) and display off. Display off and mute are the only two ones that work well now. Can you help me finding the correct software to download and fix the others, please?
    Thanks again!
    best

If you reinstall your operating system with one that is not the one that came up with your computer you will need to download the drivers off the manufactures web page to get all your hard ware to work properly if the new operating system is supported by the manufacture.

If you are having trouble finding the drivers that you need. Let me know the make and model of your computer and the original operating system you had and I can see what I can find for drivers for you.

Here is the link to your computer drivers on Sony's webpage. I would make sure that you download and install all of them for Windows 7 because they were not a part of your Windows 7 that your purchased.

Note I think these are the important sections that contain the drivers that you need.

    Camera

    Notebook Control and Utilities

    Sony Applications (various)

    System Software

    VAIO Media Software

    VAIO® Entertainment

Let me know how things go

No. You must do a custom install of Windows to change to 64-bit. If you are going to precede.. I recommend you backup your files to an external drive, or flash drive, then re-installing with the DVD's that were provided.

I already installed window 7 from vista..but now, my AV MODE not function anymore..same with "touch" sound controller and CAPTURE..

You'll probably need to obtain drivers for the affected hardware in order for it to work with Windows 7. Check the individual component manufacturer's support pages to download and install any updated software and drivers.

Be forewarned that Windows 7 drivers are not available for every piece of hardware, in which case the device will not work fully or at all. You'll have to decide whether to replace the hardware with something compatible or learn to live without it. Make sure you obtain "32 bit" or "x86" drivers if you are running the 32 bit version of Windows 7; or "64 bit" or "x64" drivers if you are running the 64 bit version of Windows 7, when given a choice between the two.

Good luck!

I have Windows 7 64-bit Professional and I have found a simply solution. I have installed Virtual PC Windows XP Mode and after attaching USB connected PP 1300W I can operate printer without problems. This solution is available for Windows 7 Professional and Ultimate only. The Microsoft’s pages say that they will launch PP 1300W Windows 7 64-bit June 2010. Wojtek
