Question about Heating & Cooling
I can't think of a reason why mornings would be different from evenings except if the thermostat is computerized and not working right.
If you have a simple 2 wire thermostat, because you don't have air conditioning, a heat pump, zones, or anything complex, you can just short the thermostat wires together in order to force the furnace to work.
Three or four wire is more common, and you need to be more careful:
The red wire is the source hot wire from the transformer.
If you have anything complex, don't risk it, and call someone.
