Ps3 doesn't read the disc. i insert the disc and doesn't attemp to read it

OK so you have the DISK READ ERROR

Not to worry this can be fixed, I will give you 2 options below for the best possible fixes.

Option 1 SONY

Call Sony they can have this fixed within 4-6 weeks for a cost of $150 but it is free if your still in warranty (12 months)

Option 2 YOU

You can repair this problem quite easily with the help of a great ps3 repair guide that many use to fix there PS3 problems themselves within hours rather than weeks.

You will soon be back up and running using any of the above options

The problem is probably with the laser that reads the disc. If you feel comfortable doing it, open up the PS3 and look at the laser. Try to readjust it and clean it, and if that doesn't work, I would not recommend trying to repair it yourself.

You can send the PS3 back to Sony, and they can fix it for you, either for free if you have a warranty, or relatively cheap if your warranty ran out (compared to buying a new one).

The problem with your ps3 is that your lens is very weak and cannot read a game disc that is inserted into it.

maybe it has something to do with the lens.i will advice you send it for maintenance.

hmmm ps3 ever been serviced sounds like blu ray drive issue if it sstill under warranty u can send it back ?

this iis quite a vague descryption im guessing that it is a 40gb ps3, sometimes they have this problem and dont read disks, ehm if your ps3 is still in its garuntee then you should contact them and sort it out
