Right under your led window, if your model has that. Look at your manual on page 6 and you will see if you have it or not. If, you do not have your manual go to and download a free copy of it. Save it to your computer then enlarge the diagrams.

CS6000-i E5 showed on screen, now my backstitch doesnt work. Is this an adjustment I can make?

The start/stop button was pressed while the foot controller
was connected.

Disconnect the foot controller,

and then press the start/

stop button. Otherwise,

operate the machine by
using the foot controller.
Hope this helps.

My brother cs6000 won't sew buttonholes

change the needle
some machines have a button hole lever that must be pulled down
before the button hole is started
but it's also possible that the machine needs to be check to see if
there is something is wrong with a part inside
check the feed dog to make sure it's in the up position
if you don't have a manual here is links that you can choose the right one

What does E3 mean on a Cs6000 Brothr machine? I do not have my manuel

Here's a copy of the manual from the Brother site.
Look on page 64 of the PDF file for the error codes.
I think E3 means:

Problem: The buttonhole or bar tack stitch was selected and

the foot controller was pressed (or the start/stop button

was pressed if the foot controller is not connected)

while the buttonhole lever is raised.

Solution: Lower the buttonhole lever
before continuing the operation

My feed dogs will not come up into position

Some machines have to take a stitch for the mechanism to "pop" back into place, I don't really know if your brother is like that but try to sew with it and see if they click back into place.
