HELP! bought a BX2450 Samsung monitor and it`s not showing full resolution, i need a driver for my macbook pro 13` (mid 2010) anyone????

I have a very strong suspicion that you are connecting your Macbook Pro to the VGA input on the monitor instead of the HDMI.

Your Macbook Pro uses the Mini Displayport connection type. Are you using a Mini Displayport to HDMI adapter? If not, purchase one and that will resolve your issue.

If you are already using a Mini Displayport to HDMI adapter, make sure your resolution is set to the maximum (1920x1080 according to Samsung's website) in Apple Menu > System Preferences > Displays > Display.

If available, select the 'Best for Display' option which should automatically set the maximum resolution for the display. If not, select 'Scaled' and choose 1920x1080.

Uninstalation of monitor driver HP2509 stopped monitor to display.shows blank screen in vista desktop

The monitor driver only tells the video card which video resolutions are supported by the monitor. The video card is probably set to the wrong resolution. You can boot into safe mode, set the screen resolution to one the monitor supports, and you should be good to go. You don't actually "need" a monitor driver.

Recommended resolution is 1920x1080 but my settings do not show that option. Was working ok, but now screen is somewhat unclear.

In case you can't show the 1920X1080 option (or higher resolutions) either the VGA controller can not handle these resolutions (so they are hidden) or the drivers for your VGA controller are missing. Clarify me your desktop brand/model to come back with more details.

Not able to change the display mode to aspect at 1920x1080 resolution... but able to change the display mode to aspect @ 1680x1050 pls help... right now my screen is totally messed up.. i mean the display...

I'm not sure I totally understand the problem, but in general if you can't change to a higher resolution that indicates an issue with your video/graphics drivers rather than your monitor.
I'd try updating your graphics drivers (download the free program Speccy if you need help determining what video card you have) and then seeing if you can set your desired resolution after a reboot.

I have side by side monitors which were working fine, now my secondary monitor seems to have a stretched display. My left (primary monitor) is 1920x1080 - recommended, my secondary monitor only goes to...

My guess is that a recent Windows Update changed the drivers for either the monitor or the video card.

Google your 'video card make drivers', and then similar for the monitor.

You can also Google the secondary monitor by make and model specs and it will tell you the recommended resolution and of course that affects the aspect ratio.

Settings for resolution are done from Windows. Click Start, Settings, System, Display

Your monitor does not support the resolution of 1900x1080. The ideal resolution for your monitor is 1024x768. To change the refresh rate(hz setting). Open display properties\If you are using Windows XP click on settings ->Advanced-> Click on monitor and click on the refresh rate drop down list and choose 60Hz
If you are using vista, Once the display properties window opens, click on the icon named "Display". Then click on Advanced settings-> Click monitor Tab(as shown in the images below)

Recommended resolution

Most likely your video card will not support that kind of resolution through that monitor. I did not see where you mentioned the card or not, but it takes a good graphics card to push that kind of resolution.

Screen resolution not available on Display menu

The 1920x1080 resolution has to have two things.

First, make sure you download the latest driver from Samsung Support site. I have the T240, and love the extra high resolution, but you have to have the driver installed.

Also, to get the resolution, your graphics card in the computer has to support the high resolution. You need to check the graphics card Mfg's website, and download and install the latest driver.

That should get you up and running, as long as the graphics card supports that high. Some of the older ones might not.
