It is possible to connect the network printers wirelessly with the help of WI-Fi or Bluetooth. You can also use wired connection by directly connecting it to the hub. The printer set-up would vary depending on the brand and model, so it is very important to read the user manual carefully for getting the correct instructions. In order to share the printer, you need to select the 'Printers and Faxes' from the 'Control Panel'. Now select the 'Add printer' option and browse for your network printer. It is very important to follow the 'Add Printer Wizard' correctly for error free sharing.

Make my Lexmark x5340 be wireless'

Is this a wireless printer? Is it being used for a large office or a small home type office? If you are using it for a home office and have multiple pcs, then you can setup a homegroup. A homegroup is like building your own personal small network. You will be able to share and print documents between your computers. Once you setup the homegroup, on one computer, then you will have to add the other computers to the group using the access code that the first computer will provide. Be sure to enable printer and file sharing when setting-up the homegroup. Once setup, you will be able to print your documents from any connected printer on your network. It's not wireless but it might help to solve a print sharing problem. Good luck. How To Set Up Homegroup Sharing Plus Printer Sharing

I don't know how your printer was setup originally. On my samsung laser printer there are two options, the usb connection or a network connection. If you use usb than you just install the printer software to the operating system, you might re-install printer software if it keeps throwing printer offline or if you forgot to connect the printer cable to it, it might put the printer offline because it can't find it. If you want it to setup printer as a network printer, you establish a connection to the printer's IP. Printers that have an IP have a menu system with buttons and display on the printer itself, that is where you find the item to print out settings also, press enter on that item and it prints the page of settings. Find instructions for the menu system might help. You can set an IP manually if it has a manual option, like 192.168.0.4 a last digit not another pc. Then you add your printer in Windows as a network printer installing the software too. It asks what IP and you state what it is. That's why you might want the print out of printer settings so you know what IP that it is already set at. Can't remember what it takes involving a router but if you connected it direct to pc than you could simply add that IP for a network printer in setting up your printer with software and an IP connection, if using a router you might have to enter the router setup to add the IP address of printer so the printer can be found by the PC.

Cannot get the wireless connection to work on the printer. The USB cable is connected to the back of the PCU. I've installed and uninstalled twice and nothing. It did work when I first got it and...

Here are some guidelines to identify and fix your wireless communication issue:
  • What is the status of the Wi-Fi light on the printer? Green light means that it's connected to a wireless network while Orange light means it's not connected to a network.
  • Try to print the printer's wireless network settings to determine if it's connected to your own wireless network. On the printer operator panel, touch the Setup button > Network Setup > Print Setup Page. Your printer will then print the its wireless network information page. Ensure that the printer is connected to your network by checking the Network Card Status, Wireless SSID, Quality or Trouble Code.
  • If printer is not connected to your network, you may need to reset your printer's wireless network settings. On the printer operator panel, press Setup button > Network Setup > Reset Network Settings. The Wi-Fi light on the printer will momentarily turn off then back on to solid orange. You can then run the Wireless Setup Utility application on your computer to reconfigure the printer to connect to your wireless network. On your computer, launch the Lexmark Printer Home application > go to Settings tab > Wireless Setup Utility. Please follow the instructions on your computer screen.

Will not print

The Simple Network Configuration capabilities of Mac OS® X can only find devices in the local network segment. If your Macintosh® and devices are not in the same network segment or are connected via a router, you cannot use the Simple Network Configuration capabilities of Mac OS® X.

In these cases, I recommend you use IP printing.

Wifi laptop will not print to printer - not a wifi printer

Check if the printer has a wireless option. Actually this issue is complex. First thing first, you can print wirelessly from your laptop within the WIFI range in a case that your printer do have wireless on in. It is impossible to print wirelessly from the wired printer through LAN.

One thing, I guess you don't have a wireless router. You need to have a wireless router like LINKSYS that is easy to setup then try to connect wirelessly to the wired printer. There I am not too sure if your can do a printing option from your laptop wirelessly.

Lastly, check if you have a ROUTER and need to set it up on your laptop and on the network LAN. You may now have a NETWORK printer in this regards. Thank you.

Need set up Lexmark C534n to our office network.

Does the printer have an IP already assigned to it?

Print out a network settings page:

Printing a network setup page
If the printer is attached to a network, print a network setup page to verify the network connection. This page also
provides important information that aids network printing configuration.
1 Make sure the printer is on and Ready appears.
2 From the control panel, press .
3 Press until Reports appears, and then press .
4 Press until Network Setup Page appears, and then press .
After the network setup page prints, Ready appears.
Note: If an optional internal print server is installed, Print Network <x> Setup Page appears.
5 Check the first section on the network setup page, and confirm that Status is “Connected.”
If Status is “Not Connected,” the LAN drop may not be active, or the network cable may be malfunctioning.

If that is an IP not on your network, then you need to change that IP to an unassigned IP that is on your network.

You can do that by typing in the IP of the printer into a web browser (example: Http://ipaddress)
Then you should be able to modify the IP address from here.

Once the printer is on your network, make sure you have drivers for it installed and then just map any worksttaion to it.

Wireless printer

Hi,

HP PSC 1410 is neither a Wireless nor a Bluetooth printer. This printer will not support to any network application, but HP PSC 2410 supports. So do not confuse between 1410 and 2410.If you want this printer to be shared in the home network, then thats possible. Also if u have print server that supports USB printer we can achieve connecting this printer in the network.

Do u have any other PC that is connected to the same Home Network?
Please let me Know.

Thanks
Riz.
