The lower hinge on each door may have a door closing cam. It raises the door up ¼ inch when opening and this assist in closing the door. If it's wore out and doesn't work the door may not seal and the gasket can be damaged. Watch the operation of the door to see if it rises up when opened.

Leave the door shut and let the magnetic gasket hold the door in place. Put something between the bottom of the door and the floor to hold it in case it slips.
Remove the bracket holding the pin and hinge assembly taking note of order of removal of parts. Slide new cams on. You probably need two.

Adjust front legs of fridge to lean back a bit so door will shut on its own

Simply lift the fridge slightly and turn the foot piece to your left.
Some models have an adjustable roller rather than a foot, in which case there is an adjusting screw in front just above the roller.

Fridge door not closing properly

Hello,

This section of this refrigerator door repair guide will walk you though repairing a refrigerator door on a side-by-side refrigerator. On most side-by-side refrigerators there is a cam that lifts the door up when you open the door so that the door has a tendency to fall down and back into place while it is closing. If the refrigerator has a cam and it is working properly, the refrigerator door will rise up when you open it and lower when you close it. If this cam is broken the door will not close properly. A lot of refrigerators have two cams, one screwed on the door and one on the hinge. You may have to replace the entire hinge to replace the lower cam but the cam on the door can always be replaced. You will have to order the cam by model number and can do so on this website AppliancePartsPros.com.

On side-by-side refrigerators without cams there will be a spacer on the door hinge. If this spacer is missing replace it. Note that any plastic spacer will work as long as it will go on the hinge pin and is not too thick. Never use a metal spacer because this will cause wear on the door and it will eventually squeal when closing.

As on top-freezers the door gasket may be ripped and if so refer to the bottom section that talks about door gasket replacement.

Sometimes the door can get warped out of shape. If the door is closing at the top and not at the bottom or vice versa the door may be warped out of shape. You can fix this by twisting the door back into shape. Take you foot and place it at the bottom and pull the door out at the top or place your foot inside the door at the bottom and push at the top with your hand depending on which way you need to twist the door. Note don’t over do it twist it a little and if it isn’t enough twist it a little more. If it gets worse you may need to twist the other way.

hope this helpout ......

How to change the doors on fridge freezer

Good day,
First. Save and mark all shims and bushings you remove in the process. As well remove all food from both doors.
1. Remove bracket from top of the refrigerator with the door closed.
Once removed, open top door with 2 hands about 1 foot.
Lift off.
2. Remove center bracket and remove as in step one.
3. The bottom bracket can be removed and mounted on the other side, reversing it's orientation. (pin sticking up).
4. remove both handles and remount on other side.
There are many plugs that must be removed, to uncover new screw holes. Some may be covered with emblems, but can be pried out with a small screw driver.
5. Reinstall in reverse order checking for alignment as you proceed.
6. Push in all removable plugs when complete.

Fridge door does not close on it's own. possibly missing spring.

There are no springs to assist refrigerator doors to close.

The fridge doors can be made to close themselves by adjusting the height of the feet of the fridge. "Pitching" the fridge slightly away from the hinge will accomplish this. If the foot on the hinge side of the fridge door is slightly higher than the foot on the handle side of the door, the door will usually want to close by itself. If the fridge is a side-by-side type and this is done, one door will close by itself and the other will want to remain open (or open fully). In this case, it's best to have the fridge as close to level as possible.

I hope this was helpful.

My fridge is not make water

I assume that you checked the water is coming out of the 1/4 inch copper /pvc piping that connects to the water line from the refrigerator' s water inlet pipe. In order for water & ice to come out 2 things have to be set correctly.
1. Make sure that a water filter is indeed installed and that it hasn't been there installed for more than 2 years as it could be clogged.

2. make sure that the small shut-off valve in the back of the fridge is turned on!

Good Luck!

make sure the rf is not sitting on the legs but setting on the wheels. it is very common for installers to roll down the legs to stabilize the machine in order to prevent liability issues or simply just to level the rf due to unlevel floors
