Not good news. HP only has drivers for XP on their website. See HP a305w Support
First thing I would do is to run your Windows 7 Update program.
If that doesn't work, I would try to run the Driver Doctor scan at:
There is no charge for the scan but to download and install the drivers, there is a charge.

Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating
system when requested. Download and install the Touchpad drivers and the Chipset (which has the usb ports).
