Question about Sylvania G-Netbook

1 Answer

I was able to connect to my router but I have to manually turn on the wireless internet switch to "On" each time I restart the computer. Then I have to select the router and connect. Is there a way to have the Sylvania 7 in netbook to automatically connect to my router?

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

I have a DIR-600 router to connect my Cable modem and use wireless connection to connect to the internet. It was all working fine till my modem LAN port got damaged somehow.I have changed the modem and now...

Try following this order before you connect your computer to the router.
power off all your equipment (cable modem & router & your computer's wireless card)
first, power on the cable modem, give it some time to boot up and get an IP from the ISP, say 30 secs.
then, power on the router, again, give it some time to boot and obtain its internet IP from the cable modem
finally, enable wireless on you computer and connect to the router.

if this doesn't solve the problem try resetting the router to factory defaults by pressing the reset button at its back for about 10 seconds with the router powered on.

This your router's manual it may turn handy:

good luck

When i connect my modem i get a "local area connection" note and cannot get on internet.

Shut down both modem and router. Turn on modem first wait 30 second, turn on Router. Make sure the cable coming from the modem goes into the Router Internet Port. Restart your computer and try again.

Wireless light will lit up only if any wireless computer is connected to Belkin's wireless network.
First, connect to Belkin's wireless network that you can scan.
After you connect, try to go online

Wired connection frequently disconnected

You might check the admin setup to see how long the DHCP lease time is. Or you can go to a command prompt and type "ipconfig /all" no quotes, it should tell you at the bottom.

Wireless Internet stopped working. Can't reconnect.

If restarting the router and restarting computer did not work (unplug both power cables), then you need to log into the router and check network settings.

To log into router type the router IP on internet explore bar, then enter user id and password.
You find details on how to do this, IP and passwords listed on the owner manual.

If wireless security settings on router are fine, then you can reset router to factory default using the pinhole switch. You will need to enter all your broadband settings to have the router working afterward.

Internet connection randomly dies

Hiya
When you connected to the internet via wireless, click start, click run, when box appears type CMD then press enter, when black screen appears, tupe in IPCONFIG then look for the word gateway below it will have a set of numbers at the side of it like 192.168.1.2 copy them down, next open the internet explorer and in the address bar type in the numbers with a dot in-between them three dots in total then press enter, your router settings will open up on screen, look for the wireless tab then have a look for what the time out settings are set for and change them for 99 minutes, sometime they are factory set for 10 min idle time then turn you off. When you have changed to 99 Mins apply / save changes then switch off the router only for 10 seconds then turn back on, then turn off your lap top and then restart it after 10 seconds,
let me know??
