My 2000 Ram 2500 AC blows cold until I step on the breaks. As soon as I break it starts blowing real hot. Starts cold again after I turn it off and turn it back on. Break again, it blows hot again...

check for a fault in the climate control module that is affected by a power surge/ depletion from the brake circuit. It would appear that the ac compressor is being switched off by the fault and switches on again when you recycle the switch( could be a relay to the ac compressor.)

I upgraded my thermostat to a digital one. when i removedd the old one only the red and white wires were used. i also replaced the thermostat wires. i hooked up all the wires according to color red to r,...

As your unit had just 2 wires, Red and White, you had just heat only with no AC and no fan on as described as you have no green circuit wired up at the furnace or thermostat, you can add a relay if not equipped but that would make your unit very old.

Pure dab radio keeps cutting out

My Pure Evoke 1S ran fine for years. Then two years ago it started cutting out every now and again, and, at other times, just failing to switch on, by constantly recycling between off and on. The higher the volume setting, the quicker it cut out.
I persevered with the radio because a) it was expensive at £90, b) the sound is very good quality, and c) I could not see a reason for the fault other than a component failure (and there was no obvious sign for that).
I then discovered the fix and it is quite simple. With the radio on, select the menu option "Energy Saving Settings" and set the option to "NO". The radio will works as normal, immediately.
Hope this works for you, too.

96 chevy silverado diesel randomly dies and usually restart immediatly, 2 days ago replaced ignition solenoid and now glow plug light on dash wont come on. checked fuses, they are all good. Truck runs very...

for diesel to stop it has to be a fuel related problem
it will not be fuel flow problem as it restarts immediately so it will be an electrical problem connected to the stop solenoid
the stop solenoid is a power on at all times until the ignition is turned off at which point the power is cut and a spring in the solenoid pushes the plunger to the no fuel position
logically that would point to a broken wire but even that is not the answer as it would not restart immediately
which points to contacts in the ignition switch
if the contacts or wire on the back of the switch is faulty , then the power to the solenoid could put through a high resistance in the switch points /contacts and that drop in power would trigger a stop situation
recycling the switch makes for a good contact for a period
I would be spending time in the switch and harness connections to the switch

I purchased the Legrand RT1 Time Switch to run a bathroom fan. It is installed and I see indicator lights. Every time I turn the fan on, it runs for a second and stops (hearing clicking in the switch);...

You connected red and white wires together.
No problem, nothing burned out, and it's simple to fix. Steps below.

RT1 is electronic countdown timer, and electronic timer clock inside needs separate circuit, just like your alarm clock needs to be plugged in. >> that's why timer has white wire. White wire completes circuit to timer clock.

Manual says:
Timer-black-wire to Hot; Timer-red-wire to Load (lights)
Timer-white-wire to Neutral.
Heres what to do
1) Timer-green-wire connects to bare ground wire.
2) Switch has 2 wires. Take switch wires and connect them to timer-black-wire and timer-red-wire. Choose either one for now.
3) In back of electric box are white wires twisted together and covered with wire nut. Connect timer-white to these wires.
4) If electric box does not have white wires described above, then connect timer-white to bare ground.
5) Turn on electricity, and push countdown button. If lights come on, timer is wired correctly. If lights do not come on, then reverse timer-red and timer-black wires.

I have a Ryobi RE175. It just stopped working

1. Shut the power off, and disconnect your Ryobi
router. It could be the start/stop switch. So, you
can begin checking the switch contacts using the
multi-tester. Set if at 1 x 10 Ohms. Put the probes
of the tester across the switch terminals. Pressing
the trigger on will move the tester indicator to zero
if your switch is okey. Otherwise, no moverment -
the trigger switch need replacement.
2. Should the trigger switch proved to be okey, Check
the carbon brush of the unit, short carbon brush??
you have to replace it.

The fridge part of my fridge freezer keeps freezing everything,

I have the same problem and have talked to the manufacturer. They said to turn off the appliance for 24 hours then it should be good as new when you switch it back on. Obviously you'll have to find somewhere for your freezer contents. I'm going to try this myself tonight.

Fridge Reboot!
