Question about Apple iPhone 3G
Firstly, hold down your home button (circle one on front) and you power button ( at top) for a few seconds and see if the phone flashes off then back to the apple logo and should hopefully load to home screen.
If that doesnt work, load up itunes on your comp and insert USB cable - not phone just yet- then on the phone hold the power button until phone powers off, then hold down the home button (circle one) for a few seconds then connect your USB cable and you should see what looks like itunes symbol and USB on the phone screen you should then receive a message on itunes saying that a phone has been detected in recovery mode then continue through itunes to restore your iphone (as new as your old software will cause the problem again) . This should solve your problem, although if you have had your phone "jail broken" then it may have affected the handset and you'll have trouble gettin it working again if at all.
