Your SanDisk Sansa Player does not allow you to delete files from within the player. Deleting Music Files On Your Sansa MP3 Player
When your player is connected to your computer with the USB connector, you can use your computer file browser software to view all files on your player. Your player will appear as Sansa m230 or m240. Follow these steps:
Playing Music
1. Use the USB connector cable provided with your player to connect the USB port on the top of your player to an open USB port on your computer. The player will appear as a Windows Portable Device on your computer. (Can’t find the USB port on your player? See The Basic Controls section on Page 3.)
2. Delete your music files to the player with software tools like Rhapsody, Windows Media Player or Napster Client.
3. To use the Windows Media Player, Rhapsody Client or Napster Client software to delete files to your player please refer to the Windows Media Player, Rhapsody Client or Napster Client help file.
NOTE: While you can store and organize your audio files on your player using folders with names you select, your player will ignore folders and names. Instead, your Sansa player will extract information from each audio file so that you can use the software menu to navigate your files by artist, album title, song title, and other useful criteria.
napster could have scammed you and made the file a temp file for music but not to delete after the time period is over the best solution is to delete that music and buy them off a site like itunes or amazon mp3
Move all the files to the windows media player. So the songs are listed in the media player. Then connect the device and use the sync option in the media player. There may also be a sync option in napster but I think the windows media player would work better.

I'm no expert, but we have both an iPod and a Sansa mp3 player, and I prefer to use Napster with my Sansa player. It's a monthly subscription (about 15 bucks a month), but you can audition the entire song and download as many as you want to your computer or your player. With iTunes and the iPod, you can usually audition just the first 30 seconds of a song and then have to pay 99 cents foreach one you want to download. it. Napster has access to a huge library of music, and you can also just select (without downloading) whatever mix of music you want and use Napster as your personal radio station. The one downside of Napster is that you have to maintain your subscription or you won't be able to play the music you downloaded to your player. Good luck.
