Did you regulator come to you like this or is this a regulator that you have had for awhile and dropped or something and it broke if you received it like that it is covered by warranty since the sea air has a lifetime warranty. XS scuba does not have replacement parts readily available that I know of thats how they get you its the same as mares you just have to send them back to be serviced or to and authorized dealer. As long as you did not break it intentionally you should be fine. I have broke reg covers on 4 of my Mares regulators and had them all repaired no problems hope this helps and safe diving

Remember the glass plate is thicker than the ceramic. The whistling may actually be arcing of the metal tabs to the plate. Take the plate out and push the metal tabs in and towards the space where the plate sits. This will make the fit tighter and eliminate your problem. Re-install the plate.

No my Breeze AT no longer gives me the Ozone smell.. what can be possible causes

Remove the purification plates and examine them for damage. If they are cracked, then they need to be replaced. Try cleaning the purfication plates with a solution of one part warm water and one part amonia. Take a old toothbrush and dip it into the amonia solution and scrub the metal grids on the purification plate. If there are deposits on the grids, scrub them until they shine and do both sides of the plate. Scrub the metal contacts that touch the plate as well. Rinse off the plate with tap water and allow it to dry completely for 24 hours or use a hair dryer to dry the plate.

Check the wiring that connects the purification plates for corrosion, that will often lead to problems.

Poor supply air pressure

3 stage? It sounds like the first stage has a leaking valve, possibly second stage also - this would explain both the high temperature in stage 1 and the poor pressure from the final stage. Take a look at page 6 of the following link. This is the typical intake and outlet valve diagram for each stage. Valves #2 are intake valves, and valves #6 and 7 are discharge valves. They all perform like check valves, each valve allowing air flow in only one direction. It sounds like your valves are leaking between 1st and 2nd stages. Possibly debris in the valves, or valves damaged. Try taking air intake filter off and check for damage to air filter and debris at intake. Also try removing valve plates and check for debris/damaged valves on first and second stages.

Check the plates for cracks and make sure the metal contacts are making a good connection with the metal grid on the plates. Either problem will cause the crackling problem

My ecoquest breeze is sparking the ceramic plate and has a little black burn on the plate. is my machine broken?

If the plate is cracked or the contacts or the metal grid on the plates are dirty. Take the plate out and inspect for cracks, if it is damaged replace the plate. If the plate is dirty, it can be cleaned with a solution of 1 part amonia and 1 part water. Scrub the metal grid portion of the plate with an old toothbrush and let it sit for about 10 minutes then rinse it off using water. You can clean the contacts with the same amonia solution. Allow the contacts to dry overnight or use a hair dryer to speed up the drying the plate.

Hope this helps.

When the protective cover of the Hot Surface Ignition System is on the heat stage does not go on. But if you remove the cover the heat stage goes on.

the air pump is either putting out too much air,or it not putting out enough air.more likely it's the latter.......check the back probally has a crack in it some where.usualy it's in the adjuster fitting. you need to replace the back cover and reset the air pressure, you need to use a gauge......very important that the air is set correctly.if it isn't the unit will not work. it keeps shutting down because the flame is not in the right place............if you have any questions let me know,i'm more then willing to help you out...........

There is a puddle of oil behind the throttle plate in my 97 land rover discovery.why? there is a breather hose that goes from the valve cover to the mantafold plenum is there supposed to be a pcv valve or...

My 96 Discovery has a plastic baffles inside the valve cover port that connects to the hose. If it got brittle and cracked, then oil could leak by. Its cheap and easy to replace, along with the hose. There is a second hose on the other side to replace as well. Land Rover was proud to pass emissions standards without using exhaust gas recirculation (EGR). The whole system is sealed, so all the air entering the engine is being metered by the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor, unless your breather hoses crack and leak. Unfortunately, oil in your location might also indicate other engine trouble, such as worn piston rings (causing pressure in the crankcase). I would try replacing the plastic baffle piece first.
