Hello, I think I have a Viper 5900 and I noticed a while back that the arm/disarm was not working most of the time. I also noticed that the remote start was also not working. I would push the button, but then the transmitter would beep as if it was out of range (even though I'm right next to the car). It's only a little over 2 years old and was installed by BestBuy. Right now I can arm/disarm it only if I point at a certain spot and I'm right up on the car. Help!!!

Yes, I've changed the batteries a few times already. I used to have rechargeables in it and then I thought that might be part of the problem so I changed to regular batteries (which didn't change anything it seems).
Also, I started having this problem a short while before finding out that the battery in my car was going bad. I have since changed the car battery and I'm still having the problem.
i'm having tjhe same problem i can arm the car right after shutting it down but if i try to unlock right after locking it won't work it acts like it's out of range, when i arm the car receives the page but doenn't send one back to the remote plase help
Simple question, have you changed the battery in your remote lately? I was having similiar issues with my remote start and it was a simple matter of changing the batteries in the remote.
I figured lets eliminate the easy stuff first. :)
