Had wireless problems with dv6000, HP took this to laboratory. They replaced motherboard, installed last bios version (F3D), but just received mine with a new problem "plugged in, not charging". I'd call to HP ASAP, they ask me to do some test and solve that battery is broken and replacement needed!
I switched with another dv6000 batteries and my battery runs good, but the other battery still have the same problem on mine. ┬┐It seems to be a battery driver/Bios broblem?

I have the same problem. My HP DV6000 displays "1% Available (plugged in, not charging) I've found several posts about this same problem. People have tried things like updating the BIOS and new batteries and new battery cables with little or no success.

Guys, the way to solve this problem is: formating your computer

Now mine is working "like NEW"

so... after all, take your time to do your back up and restart this... : (

How can I tell if my HP Pavillion dv6000 can burn DVDs? I tried to with DVD Flick but the dvd came out blank after 3 hours of supposed burning.

Try creating a normal CD-R for example just a picture using windows transfer which is simply double clicking your CD drive icon in my computer dragging a picture on to it then burn the files should be on the left, if so then your burner should be fine. I Would suggest using NERO to burn DVD's

Hello i'm having HP PAVILLION DV6000 and OS is

You first remove that device from device manager.
Then restart the pc.
You may check the BIOS menu for that device for any clarification.
After restart since u have removed it the OS will detect the device and install it automatically.
Hope this helped.

Hp nc8000 power issue

Many of the power jacks also contain switch contacts that allow the adapter to power both the laptop and the "charging" system. I would suspect that one of the leads had either been broken or at least detached from the pc board. This laptop needs to be dis-assembled and the power jack repaired. Worse case will result in the replacement of the jack or the repair of the board if that part has been cracked.
