Question about Maytag Washing Machines
No, the lid switch won't have anything to do with it. First, open the cabinet and look at the wires on the capacitor located on the back of the cabinet under the water inlet valve or on the motor. Check for any shorts. Second, look at the start switch located on the motor, it is where the wiring plug is plugged into the motor for any loose or broken wires. Third, open the top control panel and look at all the switches for ant loose or shorted wires.
