Question about EliteGroup P4M900T-M (V1.0) Motherboard

1 Answer

I recently purchased the Palit GeForce 9800GT 1GB Green from Novatech. After trying to boot up my computer I realised that I needed a PSU with a 400W+, as mine is only 300W. I will be buying a new PSU tomorrow. However, after researching into this, according to many people, the ECS P4M900T-M motherboard is not compatible with the 9800GT at all. Is this true? My PC is an Advent T9408.

Hi Nirvana,
According to the specs on the GeForce 9800GT specs it - Requires a NVIDIA HybridPower™- enabled motherboard

The specs on *********** board under graphics say: º Integrated Chrome9™ HC IGP
º Share Memory: Maximum up to 256MB

Nothing is said about it being a NVIDIA HybridPower enabled motherboard
So I would venture to say that it isn't compatible. But, before I gave up on it I would call NVIDIA and ask tech support to be sure. Their phone number is 408-486-2000
Hope that helps...

Driver don't work with Palit 9600 GT 1GB

this can be an cooling issue with 2 graphics cards in your system or it could be caused by your SMPS, it should be 700w or above to handle such a system efficiently.

Palit Geforce 8800gt 1Gig Glitches + BSOD

Nvidia's recommendations for the 8800GT are 26 Amps (I think) on the 12V rail... Although you would think 20 Amps would be enough, my next step would be to uninstall the video card driver again, get yourself a copy of a program called Driver Cleaner dot net, run the program in safe mode to completely remove all of the Nvidia driver, then reboot into Windows, download the latest WHQL driver for your card from nvidia's website, and see if that fixes it. If not, either try the card in a system with a more powerful power supply, or get a more powerful power supply, and see if your error goes away.
