Question about LG DLE7177 Dryer

1 Answer

Dryer noise Our dryer makes too loud of noise when drying. The noise seems to abate when pressure is applied to the front panel, especially on the lower part towards the legs

I have the same problem. Does anyone know what the solution is?

I had a repair man come out and he said it is the motor ... but this diagnosis seems to be the most expensive available.

    Thanks

I have the same problem except my noise seems to originate from the back. It began as a small vibrating noise inside back similar to what a coin would sound like inside the exterior metal vent hose, but inside. After one week this turned into a loud RUMBLING sound, again in the back. Dryer is 2 years old.

My dryer makes terrible noise when tumbling. It is a loud squeaking noise. Is it a belt that needs to be replaced?

Loud squeaky noises are usually a dry bearing--in this case, probably the one(s) that hold up the front of the drum. Open the top to inspect, then remove the front panel to replace or repair. Hope this helps!

I have a maytag ldg8200aaw gas dryer. it works and will dry clothes well but makes an extremely loud grinding noise as the drum turns...sometimes it even seems as if it is not engaging...I am trying to...

Your dryer is definitely worth fixing. The blower wheel is plastic 53-0106, These will wear out and get loose. Make noise and the clothes take a long time to dry. Repair Photosa9a0520.jpg

I have a G.E profile dryer dpgt750 cant seem to figure out how to take off the back panel, the dryer is making a loud noise sounds like possible belt problem. any ideals? THANKS MARTY

Marty, you need to remove the front cover on these and most dryers by removing lower front kick panel screws, then remove the front cover and then you access the top cover screws to remove top cover then you can access th drum belt

Dryer is making loud thumping noise.

Take off the back panel of the dryer and look at the motor and belt turning the drum. There may be something caught on the drum and is pinned in place causing the noise. The motor could be loose on the platform and needs to be tightened. It is probably something physical and seen causing the noise.
