Question about Crock Pots & Slow Cookers

Open Question

I have been given a Digilex PCO-HP22 100W Pressure Cooker. My first attempt to use it raised some questions that I hope you can help me with. The instruction manual is not very informative. I tried to cook a beef stew. The recipe instructions advised to turn the unit on, and with the lid off, brown steak in the cook pot with some oil. Halfway through the browning process the "heat" light went off and I could not get it back on again? It came on about 15 minutes later, so I set the timer to 15 minutes as instructed, with the lid on. I was then to lower the pressure, remove the lid, add all other ingredients, replace the lid and set the timer to 5 minutes. The "heat" light was off. I followed the instructions, but when the timer went off 5 minutes later, the vegetables were still raw. The "heat" light did not come back on for 45 minutes. Can you help? Regards John Coxon

SOURCE: how long to cook beef stew on auto setting

At least four hours. All day will make it tenderer and more flavoursome, but turn it to low when it starts to bubble.

Looking for an instruction manual for my pressure cooker: Tfal Clipso Easy

T-Fal has a number of their pressure cooker manuals on the support page: http://www.t-falusa.com/instructions-for-use/Products/Non-electric-pressure-cooker/csc/NonElectricPressureCooker . None are labeled the Clipso Easy. There are the Clipso, Clipso America and the Clipso Induction Compatible Pressure Cookers. On web sites advertising these models, they are all "Easy" pressure cookers with one-handed operation.

Please check the pressure cooker for a product number to find the correct manual. The different Clipso pressure cookers are very similar. The direct link to the Clipso manual is http://www.t-falusa.com/medias/?context=bWFzdGVyfHJvb3R8MTUyMTE3M3xhcHBsaWNhdGlvbi9wZGZ8aGZjL2hlZC85NDY0ODMyMzkzMjQ2LnBkZnxhMWU4NWQwODhiZWUwZGI4YmY1ZDE2MzA4YWNmN2E2YTUyMGM0YmFkOGRjZTQzNzIyODBjZTBkMGY2NTZhZTVi .

I hope this helps.

Cant get my pressure cooker to 11#

If your pressure cooker is a 110VAC electrical unit, and it has a Robertshaw Manual Temp Controller on it - then chances are it is bad if you are having any problems with maintaining a controlled heat to the melting pot.

If it's gas fired then you have a venting seal problem somewhere. Check to make sure everything is in it's proper place and alignment.

Anything else just ask me and I should be able to answer your ??'s as I've worked on similar equipment for the VA Hospital.
