There are several things that you will want to check if these pool cleaners are becoming hung on your pool steps. make sure that you are utilizing your return flow. If the return jets are not positioned properly, it will cause issues with steps. Position the return line directional so that you can only detect water movement on the surface 8 feet out from the wall, and aim it at the center of the opposite wall. In addition to your return lines, you will also want to confirm proper hose length and weight. Make any adjustments to the flow needed if it is too strong. If these options don't work, you will need to install a wheel deflector (#W69647).

My Zodiac pacer prefers to clean the walls of the pool instead of the bottom, and as a result it gets stuck on the walls over the water outlet

Here are a few things that you can try to get your pool cleaner to cover the entire surface of the pool. Add return diverters or divert return inlets downward. You may need to use the Pool Pulse feature to lower your flow. You might also need to add hose weights.

Hi, we have a Zodiac pool creepy crawly pool cleaner which seems to work for a while, then get stuck in the one spot and not move in our inground pool.

With these pool cleaners, getting stuck in one spot is most likely the result of a waterflow problem. Check your water flow valve and make sure that it is adjusted correctly. make sure that you don't have any blockage that would prevent movement and cause the cleaner to stick in one place. This might seem like common sense, but make sure that you have enough hose to reach the entire pool. Many times, when this occurs, the cleaner cannot reach one part of the pool. make sure that your hose balance is correct also.

Will not travel into shallow end

The first problem that you have is that you indicated that you have a Zippy pool cleaner by Zodiac. This cleaner is designed for above ground, flat bottomed pools. If you are using it for a dished above ground or in ground pool with a shallow end, the cleaner and the hose itself are not compatible with your pool. That is why it is not going to the shallow end of your pool. I would consider looking for pool cleaners that are designed for in ground pools if you want it to cleaner properly.

Probably not getting enough suction to hold it down on the bottom. Have you backwashed your filter ? Try that and see what happens

Pool cleaner working very eratic , stop /starts

you probably need to replace the diaphragm, unthread the nut directly beneath the wagon wheel, press the white tube downward and inspect the rubber diaphragm for damage or deformity. this is the most common problem with the Zodiac Pacer.

Pacer does not run on INTEX pool pump, no pulsating action of diaphragm, pump sucking OK, Auto Weir Valve connected, pool 1,20m deep, round, 4,88m diameter

make sure to check the diaphragm inside, check for deformity or debris stuck in it. You can take the unit apart just below the wagon wheel and push the white tube downward to expose the diaphragm.

My Zodiac Pacer seems to get stuck. There is suction (pretty strong). It can happen on the side or floor of the pool. If I pull it off, it starts going again, it's like there's too much suction or...

It probally is to much suction. You should have a dirveter valve where it hooks to the wall or the skimmer. This should have come with the unit and your manuel should describe it and it's function for you. if you don't have one your local pool store can help you out as these are generic in most case's.
