I too had the lift-off prolem and I fixed it by gently pushed the upper gear all the way up, using a nail through the bottom of the copter and a hole in the lower gear, while pushing the lower rotor down.

We have lost our instruction manuals for our rc heicopters. is the small tail propellar supposed to spin? we can't get them to liftoff the main propellars seem to be working fine.

Sadly, Bob is incorrect here. In a coaxial helicopter, the main rotors spin in opposite directions, equalizing the centrifugal force and allowing the craft to hover without spinning, fine-tuned by the adjustment of the trim control. The counter-rotating main blades and internal gyroscopes provide a stable hover, while the tail rotor serves only to push the rear of the chopper up or down, providing the forward/backward thrust. If you are not moving the right joystick, you tail rotor should be stationary, or perhaps moving lazily from the wash of the main rotors. Sounds like a charging issue. What type of charger are you using? Also, Li/Po batteries are not meant to be fully discharged. Fully draining a Li/Po too many times, ESPECIALLY when they are new, will ruin them. Luckily the batteries on an 032 are easily replaceable. Available on Amazon and many other online retailers, and replaced in about 1 minute with only a small screwdriver. With a new Li/Po, charge them FULLY with the correct charger, and always stop the flight as soon as you are having to give it full power to maintain altitude. Also CRUCIAL is you MUST MUST MUST let the battery rest and cool for after a flight, wait a good 10 minutes BEFORE you connect the heli to the charger, and another 10 minute cool down after charging before you fly.
Hope this helps

My hawk talon v3 is doing everything fine except it wont come off of the ground the blades are spinning they are taking some wait off the ground but in all the helicopter stays down what can i do?

try taking the body off of the skeleton and cleaning the rotor cylinder, might be dirty or have some carpet/hair fibers keeping the blades from running at full speed even if the battery is fully charged

My hawk talon v3 will not lift off the ground and the bottom rotor barely rotates.

The lower rotor has a problem where the gear on the motor shaft slides down and does not engage with the rotor gear. You can reach in through the skeleton with a small screwdriver and push the gear back up to engage. Happens every now and again, usually after a crash.

Hawk talon v3 - bottom rotor won't spin

I just got one for Christmas too. Had it flying for 10 seconds, and lost control. I have to work on my piloting skills! After that initial crash, I prepared for another take off and realized my lower rotor was not spinning. It turns out that the tiny vertical gear that powers the lower rotor gear fell off its axle. The axle is connected to the sensor that receives the signal from the throttle. Luckily, I found that tiny gear sitting inside the head of my helicopter. After spending 2 hours trying to place it back on the axle, I got it running again. The rotor was spinning again, but it wouldn't take off. I did some troubleshooting, adjusting the trim multiple times. Then the gear fell off again. I found it and noticed that I had damaged the plastic teeth from using my tweezers to reinstall it. You can go to Team-RC.com to buy a complete gear system for $6.95. You won't need to replace all of the gears, just the one that fell off, and it's always a good idea to have spare parts just in case.

Happy flying

Crashed hard and now the bottom rotor is not spinning as fast as the other two. What should I do?

loosen the body screws. lift the right side front so you can see the engine gears, The little gear has slipped on the shaft and is not making contact with the big gear (white plastic gears). Slide the little gear down the shaft so it meshes with the bigger gear. Close the body back up (don't tighten screws yet). Turn the Heli on and make sure all is well (while holding the body closed). Tighten screws...Enjoy...

Dash lights and tail lights wort work

Check your fuses. Dash lights and tail lights are on the same fuse. Check the fuses electrically, just looking at them is not enough. Replace any blown or damaged fuses with fuses of the same rating, NEVER use a fuse of a higher rating. If the fuse blows again, you have a short circuit to ground. Check all the front and tail lamps and their wiring and don't forget the trailer connector if you have one fitted..
