Question about HP Compaq Presario F730US Notebook

I am looking at my parents computer they bought off someone and it looks as if there is no network adapter or something i can not establish a wireless connection and dont know were to look or what to do.

Apparently the previous owner formatted the hard drive and did a basic install of the operating system, but did not install any of the drivers that are specific to this notebook.
The HP web site has drivers for Windows Vista, XP, and 2000 only, so if they installed Windows 7 on the notebook, then you will have to buy a copy of Vista and install that instead.
Once you've gotten Windows straightened-out, then you can download all of the drivers for your notebook from the support web page for the Presario F730US. At this web page, simply click the drop-down button labelled "Select..." and choose the operating system that you have on the notebook and then click the "Next" button.
What is displayed next is a list of ALL of the drivers that are specific to your notebook. Download all of the latest versions of the drivers to your working computer and copy them to a USB thumb drive or burn them to a CD. Carry the thumb drive or CD over to the notebook and install the drivers from there. Keep the driver files handy for the next time you have to reformat your computer.
I suggest that you install each driver one at a time and reboot the laptop after each driver install. This is often not necessary; however, it will help with troubleshooting if you run into trouble to know which exact drive caused a problem.

How can I get EZ book PC 7" Netbook to work wireless?


First you must establish that you have a wireless adapter go to the control panel choose system then when the tab opens choose hardware then device manager.Look for the network adapter tab if there is a wireless adapter listed close the manager and proceed to the start menu.Click on the start menu and then the" connect to" tab choose show all connections look for the wireless connection right click then "view wireless networks" choose a network to connect to if you do not have a ssid then you will have to look for a network that is not secure.If you need more help check me at craig.robert87@yahoo.com

I need install wireless drive to my desktop. unfortunately i d not have driver. actually im going to use my desktop USB wifi modem.


Go start menu, right click on Computer, and select manage. Then on the left column, look for device manager. Click on that and look for something that says Network Adapters. This will list all your network adapters so now you can look up the drivers. Just enter "'name of adapter here' driver" on Google.

I do not think that it would force you to update before installation.

I would first look and see if there is an "Update Later" option, or something like it. If it will not continue in the installation, make sure you followed the included Installation Guide. If then it continues to not work, I suggest you connect your computer directly to your modem and update from there.

your ethernet card went bad look at ethernet cord right down info take to computer shop or walmart and replace ethernet cord most of time it compatable to any windows any eathernet card now sound card different.

Yes, you need to install the driver of the dlink wireless adapter for it to work. and remember after you reinstall the driver make sure you know the settin of your wireless connection.what i am referin to is if you have a secure wireless connection you need to know the Network name and the password also knwon as Network Key
