Unplugged the power cord for 30 minutes and tried plugging it in again

after making sure all the connections were tight and secure. Still unable

to get the console to turn on. System went down after a thundr storm but

was the only thing affected in the house. Is it possible to purchase a new

power cord to see if this corrects the problem?

Make sure you unplug the power cord from the wall as well as the wii for 5 minutes. It needs to reset but won't if it's connected to anything. If that doesn't work a replacement can be purchased. Just give me a shout.

Wii won't turn on.

Reset the AC adapter by following steps below.

1. Unplug the Wii AC adapter at both ends (from the back of the
Wii system and from the wall outlet or power strip).

2. After you've waited a full 2 minutes, plug the AC adapter back in on both ends and check to see if the power light comes on.

My wii wont turn on, its plugged in and nothings happining

Mine did this and you have to unplug everything out of the back of the wii and also unplug the cord from the outlet for a few mins then plug it all back up and mine came back on it was from a power surge and it trips the circuits u have to completely unplug everything for it to reconnect the connectors.

The Wii console is not powering up at all.

Hi there, this is a power board failure. It seems to be a manufacturing error considering the fact that, this Wii is only 2 months old. i would excercise the warranty if possible and return for exchange. this is a defective unit.

When this same thing happened to me, I unplugged the Wii power supply from the wall (not just from the back of the Wii) and let it sit unplugged for about 10 minutes. When I plugged it back in, everything was fine.
