I am having the same problem but with Compac Presario C304NR
I downloaded a driver for it on Compac site, but still couldn't fix the audio and sound of my PC. I'll appreciate it if a solution can be proferred for me.
Thank you

I have done this on my computer and using it for the last 5 months. However, there is still a vibrating sound while playing audio files and I do not get the sound quality expected of a Laptop having Altec Lansing audio. In fact, I have never got audio out put after installing Windows. For audio, graphics etc. I needed installing drivers after downloading them. It appears that HP Compaq c702tu customers are in no man's land after purchasing the Laptop not preloaded with OS and drivers by Compaq.
