Wireless range is pretty much limited to router placement and type (802.11N has longer range than 802.11B/G) so if you want to increase your range/reception use and 802.11N PCMCIA Card and 802.11N router

Dell Inspiron 8600 Wireless connection driver Problem

I would check network connections in your control panel first and make sure your wireless connection is enabled. Next I would go to System in control panel and then go to device manager and check to see if the drive for the wireless is installed. May want to try here for the Driver download.

What Wireless modem will work in Dell's Inspirion XPS M140

Hi,

I recommend Netgear or Linksys wireless routers/modems.

They work with just about any ISP (internet service provider) and are very reliable.
