Question about Epson Stylus C60 InkJet Printer

Carriage problem Hi. My Epson C60 has started banging the carriage against the side. I have reinstalled the pilots, both for the printer and the LPT port, nothing doing? I deleted the program and all reg entries. Still nothing. Any Ideas? I tried contacting Epson, but their email is down !

I had this problem. I put a lite coat of lithium grease on the chrome carriage rod and the problem is fixed.

How do i solve the cr motor problem of epson L110 printer?

CR motor is the carriage motor that moves the printhead side to side. ( as opposed to the PF motor that feeds the paper)

normally if you are have CR motor issues it is because of a piece of paper caught in the mechanism or a dirty or dry carriage rail.

move the carriage from side to side and see if you get a full range of movement. where is stops is where the paper is caught

to clean the carriage rail,
then just wipe all the old sticky grease and oil off the carriage rail and apply new lubricant.. epson have a special grease for their techs to use, but WD40 or silicone spray will work just fine.

Replaced ink cartridges in epson stylus photo 300 error message (general error see your printer documentation about clearing problem)

general error normally comes if the printer carriage movement is obstructed
try doing the following
1 switch off the printer and switch on after some time and see that the head carriage moves properly or not if not than
2 look for obstruction in the carriage path
3 the cartiages installed might not be seated properly try reinstalling them

Epson Stylus 1200 lights indicate carriage jam

This means that your Epson printer has come to its end of life. In short, Epson wants you to retire your printer and buy a new one. Your Epson printer may be in good shape which is often the case. But Epson has this build-in "feature" which they want you to buy a new one.

Ink cartridges on Epson C60 will not centre to allow me to change them. Help!

you could just send a print job to the printer and while it is printing unplug the power. That would stop the carriage assembly somewhere in the middle but if it is not moving to the center on it's own you might have other issues.

Only prints on the right side of the page.

I am sure your tired of this. It sounds like an HP I had. I ran some thick paper through it and it did the same. I figured that it actually had made the belt which moves the cartridge carriage skip a few teeth. these do not realign automatically. You may or may not be able to do it manually.
You may try to just move the carriage over the opposite direction of where its hitting and see if there si any movement. but it may also not be adjustable. so be careful don't break the thing. after that you are getting it looked at. I was able to move mine over and be trial and error get it realigned and it worked till the drivers were obsolite. hope this helps

Epson R320 carriage jammed

The ink cartridge is probably not inserted correctly.  Unplug the printer and manually move the carriage to a location where you can take the ink cartridge out.
Remove it and reinsert it, making sure that it is fully located, before applying the power.
Make sure that there is nothing blocking the carriage movement, such as some remnant of paper.

No response

If you´re pressing the ink button and the carriage still does not moves is cause the level of the ink is low, but it does not finished yet. You must use the printer more, then the red light will stop to blink and hold on, then you´ll be able to change the cartridge.
