Your SD card is locked meaning is write protected. To unlock it you need to slide the small plastic toggle out of the 'lock' position. See image below

There are several possible causes for "memory card locked", "memory card error", or "no memory card". Some include trying to use a 4GB SDHC card with an older camera made before SDHC format came out. Others include problems with the tiny slide switch on the side of the card, or the electrical contact switch internal to the camera. The problem may also arise from simple formatting problems if the card has never been formatted in the camera (note that this will also erase the card). Troubleshooting tips for this problem may be found at this link.

An error message came up and said picture not formatted. The manual says it supports JPEG. So how do I format the jpeg to show on the projector that supposedly supports it

Open the image with ANY image editor on a computer (Paint will do just fine) and click "File -> Save As" choose filetype .jpeg and give it a new name. Whe this is done, try to load it again on the projector.

This way you just try to reformat the image in to the jpeg format. If this dose not work, your projector are probably not going to display jpegs at all.

If this still dose not work, you may want to consider formatting the device you put into the projector (If it is a usb, sd card or similar) to ensure it is clean, i suggest formatting to FAT32 as this is most commonly supported by peripheral devices. Aaaand try again ;)

I bought a used jazz ultratab c855 dose not have SD card tryed to use one I had here and it Won,t work do I need to buy a special card or can I format one to work ?

Your jazz ultratab c855 should work with SD up to 32 Gb; are you sure that the card you have is good ?
You can test it introducing it in a MicriSD Reader and check it in any computer. If shows up as Removable Drive with correct size, your card is good.

Memory card error

The GR-DF570 uses SD cards. Your 8GB card is actually an SDHC card. While it fits into the slot it's electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to use SD cards 2GB and smaller.

If you need a manual, you may download a copy here.

The memory card will not read

Hello,

You may need to reload the drivers for the card reader. You can find that on the support site of your pc maker or you can use the install disc that came with your pc.

Good Luck

Card is portected dose not record

Look at your memory card. SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

My camera flashes "note: if sd card is

After Note: , it should say internal memory must be erased in order to use the SD card. Yourn LCD is probably about to puke so you don\'t see the second line.

Have fun with the junk LCD replacement parts.

New memory card dose not work. Keeps saying formatting. Its called SDHC memory card multi use.

Your problem is it's an SD"High Capacity" (SDHC). This type of card came out after camera was designed, and although it looks the same as a standard SD card, its not. Sorry, but there's no way to make that type of card work with your camera. But just go on Amazon, You can purchase a standard 2GB that will work with your camera for about $6 to $7 (total with shipping).
For others reading this with similar problems, there are several possible causes for "memory card locked", "memory card error", or "no memory card". The most common is trying to use a 4GB or higher SDHC card with an older camera made before SDHC format came out. Other causes include problems with the tiny slide switch on the side of the card, or the electrical contact switch internal to the camera. The problem may also arise from simple formatting problems if the card has never been formatted in the camera (note that this will also erase the card). Any internal backup memory??

The internal memory only works when no card is in the camera and then only holds a small number of pics. If you had the memory card in the camera most of the time, most of your pics were on the card.
