If the buttons on the remote AND the buttons on the TV case do not work (channels do not change and you cannot open or navigate the menu), the TV has stopped responding. Reset the TV as follows:

NOTE:
Some TVs have a reset button. If available and accessible, try using the reset buttons before using the steps below. Using the reset buttons can save time.

1. Unplug the TV power cord from the power outlet.
2. Unplug any connected devices (DVD, Set-top boxes, etc...)
3. Press and hold the TV power button for five seconds.
4. Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet and turn on the TV.
5. Open the on-screen menu to confirm that the TV is responding again.
6. Turn off the TV and reconnect the devices.
7. Turn on the TV.

Remote will not work tv.

A working TV remote is a security blanket that allows us the peace of mind of knowing that we don't have to get up unless nature calls or the house catches on fire. People are more likely to spend more time and energy to fix their TV remote than to get up and change the channel. There are a number of simple fixes that can ease your mind when your TV remote is not working.
jQuery('.intro .thumbnail').each(function(i,e){ jQuery(e).find('img').one('error',function(){ jQuery(e).remove(); }); }); Difficulty: Easy Instructions Things You'll Need:

  • New Batteries
  1. Check the batteries. Make sure the batteries are in correctly and, if they are, replace the batteries. If the batteries are dead or are not in correctly, your remote will not respond and the LED light will not illuminate when a button is pressed. Make sure the TV is plugged in. An unplugged TV will not respond to any remote.
  2. Check the selected input to make sure the remote is set on the TV and not some other device programmed into the remote, such as your DVD player, VCR, or video game console.
  3. Reprogram the sync code. If you are using a universal remote, it may have deprogrammed, leaving the remote and TV out of sync.
  4. Unplug the TV for a few minutes. During a power surge, a TV can become "confused." Unplugging it for a few minutes will give the TV the break it needs to sort everything out and work properly with your remote.
  5. Use another remote on the TV. Program a universal remote to work with the TV. If the TV does not respond, the problem is likely with the TV and not the remote control.

Flashing stand by light and tv does not respond to any swithc or remote

Hi.

If after the fault the TV went in standby and does not wake up, staying there with led flashing, then the TV has on protect mode after detecting a fault.
When this happens higher voltages are shut down to prevent further damage. Only the +5V line will stay on to keep the TV in standby.

Try first leaving the TV power cord unplugged for some times, let say one hour or so.

Also ensure that the fault is not coming from a faulty receiver box sending bad signal, check if you get same problem with no receiver box or dvd connected.

If that does not work, and you keep having a flashing led on front of the TV, and tv turning off by itself after a while, that indicates a fault condition.

The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the TV goes on protection there are only two possible reasons.

1The internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the protection circuit.

2 The protection circuit detected a wrong voltage or abroken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in , startingthe flashing light.

If you are in situation one, then theTV will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours, sometimes even minutes.

If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.

Common faults that can occur are a blown capacitor on power board, a convergence IC has blown, or a fault on Digital board.

If under warranty contact the manufacturer ringing the number on the user manual

If you want to repair at your own expenses, just locate any good qualified repairer.

Need operating manual

if you are asking about the ” innovage” large tv remote… you do not need a code booklet.
maunally turn your tv on
point the remote at the tv
push ” code search”
a red button will blink
push the ” TV” button
then push the upper right botton with a circle and line on it…
the red burron will blink during each push…
at some point the tv will turn off…
push the “enter” button
the tv will then work with the remote.
it it takes too long to catch so to speak…
do not turn the TV off…
during the process… go ahead and push search code again..then TV
then on/off botton sometimes this speeds up the process.
i’ve found every once in a while the large remote stops responding to the on/off button…
just repeat the steps.

We hope this helps please rate/vote for me if it does thanks

Tv blinks out when front buttons are pushed. model#ws-65511

If the TV is turning on and working regularly, but power button does not shut down and buttons on TV do not work, then it is a faulty touch control (button) board on TV.

If instead the TV does not even turn on, then tv is on protection mode, in that case it can be any internal fault.

If instead the problem is with remote buttons, then it is either a faulty remote or a faulty IR sensor.

We have had two of these tvs break within 2 days of purchase, in our case both times it seems to be a backlight failure. Did you wall mount your tv? If so when you take the base off it leaves a hole in the casing leaving circuitry visible. I think it's very easy to damage the ciruitry.

I've got a samsung le32m8 tv. the remote is not working light flickers on remote and tv but nothing happens. the power button is the only one working

You should try another remote to determine if the remote is actually defective, or there is a fault in the TV set. I have seen both scenarios, of either the TV was defective, or the remote was defective.

I suspect the remote to be defective more than the TV having a problem. The reason is that you can use the remote to turn the power on and off in the first place. This means that in the TV the IR receiver module, and the remote circuit processing to the uPC is responding.

If it is not the remote that is defective and the TV's IR path is responding, there are several other possibilities. There may be lockout function in the user menu that locks out the main controls from the remote. There may be some other type of defect with the uPC system controller. This can be firmware, or some type of hardware failure which would be a bad device in this area on the circuit board.

There are control circuits for the functions in your set. In most TV sets they are shared with the front panel controls. There could be a fault in this area as well.

Anything past trying another remote to verify the remote functionality of the TV, and checking the user menu for a lockout feature, will indicate that there will be the requirement for technical service.
