Hi Giomaravilha,
Universal remote control has a limitation in terms of button function most especially in some brands. This would not perform all of the button like what the original remote can do. The major button that will be working sometimes is the Channel and volume alone and not all the respective button. It is better to have an original remote, but the problem is that sometimes even the retailer of the unit can't produce or sell at all. You can try to find the original remote online. Try shopjimmy.com or ebay.com to find whether if there is an available remote control for your tv. Just type the brand and model no. of your unit to the search engine and click the search button.
Hope it may help you.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for using Fixya.

My remote Stopped working with my TV but still works with DVD player. I have a new universal remote and it will not work as well, what part Do I need to replace?

You may want to try a “Hard Rest” by unplugging the power from the TV.
While the TV is without power, one at a time, push on each of the buttons on the TV & listen to hear them click (there may be a button stuck down).
After at least a few minutes have passed, plug the TV back in. Sometimes the TV may power on by itself and other times it will may not. If the TV did not power on by itself, push the button on the TV to power on the unit.
After the unit has power on wait about 30 seconds. Now point a known working remote at the TV and see if it is working correctly. You could test your LG remote on another LG TV at home, a neighbor’s house, and or at a store.
If the TV does respond by using the buttons on the TV but not with remote control, the problem could be with the following.
Remote Eye board and or the Main board.
I hope my information has helped you.
Good Luck.

Do you still have the instruction booklet for the Tv? Find the remote codes and try re-programming the remote. If this still happens try programming an after market universal remote. Hope this helps.

We have had two of these tvs break within 2 days of purchase, in our case both times it seems to be a backlight failure. Did you wall mount your tv? If so when you take the base off it leaves a hole in the casing leaving circuitry visible. I think it's very easy to damage the ciruitry.

Samsung tv

If the set has a power button, try turning it on with that.  I suspect it won't respond to that either and the problem is really with the TV itself.
If it does have a power button and the set reacts the same, then either the power supply in the set or a circuit it services has failed. You didn't list the TV model number so we don't have enough information to even start with.
One last thing you can try is to pull the AC plug and let it sit overnight; sometimes circuits can 'lock up' and will respond again if allowed to sit and all its internals go to zero for a while.

Buttons on top of TV don't work

Try to press them a bit harder, sometimes they become oxidize due to non use. If there was one that is stuck, you will not get any of them to work even the power button.
Try using the remote control.
Good Luck.
