You will need to contact your local BMW Dealership to retrieve the Radio Code. This is free as long as you can prove you are the owner of the Vehicle.

Hi there i have a bmw 325 1990\r\ni desconcted the battery and the radio don't work anymore can you help me bmw alpine CM5905 serial A50621408 thank you

The CM5905 is made by ALPINE and uses a hardwired code system (instead of the more modern systems) so it can NOT be calculated just by quoting the Serial Number

This means that the covers will have to be removed and a photo taken of the green circuitboard

From this , the tags on the board can be identified and a working code calculated.

Email me at regworts(AT)googlemail.com and I will be able to help you

I have the code to 1994 Bmw 740il radio how do I use it?Do I press the number and something else?

Each radio can have different code entry instructions.

Please quote your radio MAKE + MODEL

note: BMW do not make the radios..they only affix their badge onto radios made by the big manufacturers(Blaupunkt, Alpine, Philips etc )

What steps to input code in car radio bmw 735

The radios in a BMW are made by different manufacturers (ALPINE, BLAUPUNKT,PHILIPS ,BECKER ,PIONEER ,CLARION etc) so you will have to identify your radio manufacturer.(identified with label on the casing)

The  Code Entry Instructions are dependent on which make + model of radio.

Once identified , then look up the instructions here on this free website

I replaced a battery in my 97 328i BMW the radio needs a code

First make sure that the code has not been noted somewhere within the car (underneath the ash tray, glove box , rear of sun visor etc)

To see if your code is available here for free then the radio will have to be removed from the dashboard (and if you are lucky, someone may have written the code on the casing ) .

If not then POST ANOTHER QUESTION

quoting the radio MAKE+MODEL plus ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on ANY LABELS ,BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING

Also quote the MAKE of CAR

note: Unfortunately not all radios can be decoded using the Serial Number

If not then try your Main Dealer ...........or take it into a Decode Service who will plug in a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM). This takes a few minutes and shouldn`t be too expensive

Stereo code for 1992 BMW 325i

BMW do not make radios .They only affix their badge onto radios made by the large manufacturers (ALPINE , BLAUPUNKT etc).

So the radio will have to be identified , usually by removing it from the dashboard.

see here how to remove

http://www.fitaudio.com/

Then please POST ANOTHER QUESTION  quoting  your radio MAKE+MODEL plus ALL the NUMBERS+LETTERS on ANY LABELS , BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING

I have a 1988 735i I had gotten the code from a dealer but it still wont unlock the radio . I need help please . Ft Worth

If the radio displays code or wait, then you have to make sure the ignition stays on for 1 hour before trying to enter the code. It is also possible the dealer gave you the wrong code. BMW had 3 different makers of radios back then. Blaupunkt, Pioneer, and Alpine. Make sure they checked which maker of your radio was.
