Question about Samsung Convoy Cell Phone

2 Answers

I don't really have a problem with the phone in general, it's just that I do not know how to install RingTones from the computer, need some instrutions, step by step, if possible? It's a Verizon phone, model #.= SCK-U640. I've tried a few from the web, and I just can't understand, as quickly as they go in telling you, I need to read them, first and study them before I jump into something,so if you can help, I would greatly Thank you. Ralph, Have a wonderful Day.

HI yabadoo let me tell you that the sam convoy has a media card slot. STEP 1 if you have a micro card slot this would be the easiest way to get your music and ringtones on to the phone. Now all verizon phones come with verizon v cast. you can down load ringtones on to your phone for 2.99 a tone. But if you don't want to do the vcast or you don't want to do the media card then to do it from you computer to your verizon phone you need to plug the phone into the computer. Next you need to go to the settings and go to usb settings and then select the usb settings that says ask always. Next you need to select music on the phone. If you have a laptop that your downloading the ringtones from bring it to the nearest verizon corp store so that they can show how to do it. It is a free service that verizon provides to it's customers.

I cant set any of my music as a ringtone

What kind of phone? Most newer phones have apps you can download for free to make your own ringtone but especially for iphones it is not easy. If you are somewhat tech savvy search your phone model in google and "custom ringtones"

If not so tech savvy its easiest to shell out the money for a already made ringtone of the music you want. Only purchase ringtones from official stores on your phone
Ex; Iphone: Itunes
Android: android market or google play.
I suggest not using your computer to buy ringtones or searching for ringtones on your computer browser in general. Theres lots of scams out there.

How can i access my ringtones to be able to delete ones I don't want ?

Cell phones have default ringtones installed to them by the manufacturers, there's no way of deleting them even if you reset the factory settings but you can delete those that you have personally dowloaded, saved or added on your tones.
I can give you the steps how but you have to let me know what cellphone unit/handset you are using.

You can not just easily delete any file from a system, this is already installed in the program so it will stick to it.

When trying to play my ringtones it says device media processor is busy and also says error playing in the top right hand corner. why? also phone will not ring

This problem generally occurs when your media card is not correct. You can get in to this situation with a bad media restore.
Plug your phone in to your computer and check the contents of your media card. You need to have a ringtones folder created. Copy all of your ringtones in to this folder. They are most likely somewhere else on the card.
Once you do that follow this set of instructions to get everything set back up:

I HAVE A W 180 MOTOROLA TRACFONE AND I TRY TO DOWNLOAD PICTURES FROM MY COMPUTER TO THE PHONE AND I CANKT BECAUSE IT SAID THAT I NEED TO INSTAL A HARDWARE AND I DONT KNOW WITCH ONE IS

You need to find and install Motorola phone tools. It works with your Motorla phone to put pics on and make your own ringtones if your phone supports polyphonic ringtones and pictures.

actually, it is not possible to download ringtones to a Rant from Myxer. You have to use a phone uploader with ringtones from your computer and send yourself a "jump code". Unfortunately, Cricket does not offer this option.

Just copy the ringtone in phone memory which you want to set. It will give you option to set it as ringtone.

the ringtone should be in mp3 format not exceeding 35 to 40 kb. after the ringtone os transfered to your phone, highlight ringtone and click options, then move. click option to save to handest memory. then click paste. this should allow you to use the mo3 file as a ringtone.

How to move music to phone from computer

Hi,
Your phone doesn't need or have any special software to transfer music. When you phone is connected, it should show up as a removable disc. Then all needs to be done it is drag and drop (or copy/paste) from your computer. Good luck!
