Question about Haier ESD300 / ESD301 Built-in Dishwasher
My dishwasher had the exact same symptoms. The control panel was faulty. I discovered this by testing the connector with my multimeter, looking for the LED connections. When I wasn't able to find anything, I carefully peeled it off. (See picture.) I expect at least one of the traces underneath the nasty brown line is faulty, causing the control panel to not function. On the control board, I jumpered the first pin to the fifth pin from the bottom of the connector, as viewed with the Haier brand right-side up, and pots & pans started right up.
It looks like I can get a replacement control panel from Sears Parts Direct for $30.

@flszen I am in Canada. I had the same problem. something got into the flatflex and corroded the conductive material. slowly my control panel stopped working. it wasn't until i disassembled to fidn the problem. the part number is DW-5200-49 however there is an OEM replacement part that is substituted for this DW-0013-04. This part has extra buttons and LEDs for the ESD301/2. I believe this panel is to fit the EDS300/1/2 - if put on an ESC300 I would assume the extra buttons won't work. But there is a catch - the substitute part has 2 connectors and they dont line up to the old part on the ESD300. I was able to reverse engineer one of the connectors - the larger one. let me explain how it goes on...
Standing in front of the dishwasher so the door open towards you (usual use), with the panel in place on the chassis as it would normally be, with the 2 connectors through the door to the control board, as it all usually set up. call pin 1 on the control board connector the pin on the farthest left (if you are facing the dishwasher). the large connector from the DW-0013-04, which should be on the left and the smaller connector on the right, pin 1 on the connector large connector, is the one on the far left. the connector pin 3 goes to control board pin 1. this means 2 pin mates on the large connector will be hanging over the left edge of the control board, not connected. pin 3 on the connector will be on pin 1 of the control board.
This will get the buttons working. the LEDs appear to be on the smaller connector I have not working out how it is supposed to be connected. there is little motivation as the dishwasher now works.
So beware you might get the DW-0013-04 if you order the DW-5200-49 and it will need to be connected as per above. its not obvious. i asked Haier and they wouldn't tell me how to do it and referred me to a service.
If you know how to connect it to get it all working please let us know.
UPDATE 2 Apr 2015: turns out the DW-0013-04 will get the buttons working so you can use the dishwasher, however they buttons are out of order compared to what is printed on the DW-5200-49. the order from left to right will be: quick, pots, light, normal. only the left 4 will work. so I am not really sure how to connect the DW-0013 to the ESD300 to get it to function 100%, if even that is possible.
