I tried setting up internet conection to my ps3 but it keeps sayin error code 8001000b when i try.

Try resetting your wireless router by unplugging it for 30 seconds. Restart your PS3. After you've logged on, go to the network and setting menu on your PS3. Then try setup like before.

When i try to login to my ps3 acount it wont let me log on. every time i try to log on it comes up you where logded out of ps3 network error (8001000B)

Go to"Settings," then "System Settings," and select "System Information."

Once there, write down your PS3's MAC address. Open up your router's console, which is usually done by opening it's gateway by typing the number into your browser (different for every router). Open "MAC Filters" and enter the PS3 MAC Address into the field that says "allowed" or "exceptions" or something along those lines.

Getting error code 8001000a

__you can try this:______

I struggled setting up the wireless internet connection on my PS3. It seemed that no matter what I did, I kept getting the error message 8001000B. After reading some help materials on this website, I determined that I needed to add to my router list of allowable MAC addresses the PS3 MAC address. Once I did this, the setup was as easy as shown on the manual.

Steps:

1. Locate the PS3 MAC address number: Settings - System Settings - System Information
2. Open the software controlling the rounter. This is usually done my typing the router's IP address on your browser. ie http://192.168.0.1
3. Locate a tab for FILTERS
4. Slelect MAC filters.
5. Enter the PS3 MAC address from previous step as an allowable MAC address.
6. Save entry. At this point rounter will reset itself.
7. Go back and set up the wireless connection on PS3. Select all settings automatic or EASY as the case maybe.

__or this:___

After looking over the internet for answers I found a fix for the 8001000A and when the Playstation 3 (with firmware version 2.76) is hooked to a wireless router (in my case a Netgear WNR834B v2). Below are the steps I took.
  1. Reset your router to factory defaults.
  2. Go to Select Network Settings under Settings in the home menu.
  3. Select Easy then Wireless.
  4. Then select Enter Manually. Then enter in your SSID of your router. Then rest of the setting should be set to Automatic.
  5. However DO NOT TEST CONNECTION. Just save and turn off the playstation3.
  6. Then turn off Playstation 3 from the back of the drive.
  7. Unplug the power cord and wait 30 seconds.
  8. Plug the power cord in and turn on the Playstation 3 switch.
  9. Wait 5 seconds and turn on the Playstation 3 and it will work. You can even test your connection and it will work.
However if you want your security settings on the router then once the router settings are back then repeat steps 2 through 9. Hope this works for all. I do not think replacing the unit is the answer. Any question just let me know.

Connection error 8001000b

You're on the right track, bro! You definitely need a router. There are really no other ways around it. I would suggest "linksys/cisco", and I'll tell you why. First, It's probably the best cheap router you're going to find. Second, their tech support is outstanding! Thirdly, upon set-up, you'll log into their site & they'll walk you through it all.
