Question about Nokia C3 Cell Phone

1 Answer

I have a Nokia C3-00, and it's a cool phone. The communities application (built-in) used to work, until a little while ago. Now it says "communication error. try again." each time I try to log in. I tried both on WLAN and GPRS, and both give the same result. It worked, but now it does not. I tried setting the settings to factory defaults, but it still doesn't work :( Why is this? Every setting is the same as when it worked.

The communication error may due to,
1.network may be busy or no coverage.
2.may be the SIM card is invalid.
3.access point name setting may not be correct.
4.check date time setting.
5.if there is no problem with all these, select setting-select configuration-preferred access point-select internet.
6.please contact your service provider.

My issue resolved itself.. I found that Nokia phones don't like to be turned on all the time, turn them off while charging or something, and they'll flip out less.

I restored the factory settings on my phone. All the files, messages, contacts, etc. were deleted. The Ovi, Communities, and other applications were also gone. I can't even

In my opinion there is no solution.I thought that you have selected "Restore All" while you restore the phone. For the application you can recover by flashing or you can download. Nokia Store: Download games, themes, wallpaper, ringtones and mobile apps on your Nokia phone.Good luck

Hi lariz1605,

I am afraid you are not able to get them all back.

before setting your phone to default setting it is important to always back up your Data before doing so.

if how ever you have backed up your Data simply use PC suit for nokia to restore the back up, it should be easy to find the option once you start the PC Suit application.

i hope thsi helps.

I've installed the latest version of facebook on my Nokia 5800 phone. It loaded fine however, the select connection box keeps popping up every two seconds. Is there any way to fix this?

You would face this problem if you have Installed the Nokia Community application which has Twitter and Facebook integrated in it, after logging in to Facebook or Twitter it keeps prompting for Connection typ to be selected.

Do not use this application as it is still in beta stage, which is a testing mode, i had the same problem so i uninstalled it, try using the software when the final copy of it is out.

The T-Mobile WING has to be rebooted to run another application

You might try searching forums.xda-developers.com
They have a Wing/Herald section and they have custom ROMs.
I am running Windows Mobile 6.1 using the OpenTouch v7.5 Pro. It's not great due to the lack of hardware that HTC built the phone with. My best solution for this problem is tough it out until the HTC Touch Pro II (will likely be called the T-Mobile Wing II) is released, which will have better hardware (but not by much); or get an iPhone. I will likely be switching when my T-Mobile contract expires in the fall.
