One of the sites indicates this takes a 12 VDC 1.66 amp supply and would have to be the correct polarity of course... Read the nameplate on the unit to find what the requirements are. Polarity is critical and damage could be done if wrong one is used.

My Casio ctk 811ex wont power up anyone more.Is there an internal battery that needs replacing ? What could be causing the problem ? 2 weeks ago it was working fine

ALWAYS start with the "easy" things 1st. Is the AC outlet on the wall working properly? Is the "wall-wart" power supply working correctly? If no defect is found, check the DC power jack located on the rear of the keyboard. Does it seem to be loose or does moving the power supply jack up/down cause any change? New wall-wart power supplies can be purchased from Radio Shack and usually at a lower price than the original factory replacements.

Djx 750 - no power - transformer dead?

Actually, you may be in luck. A burned cap means that it has done exactly what it's supposed to do. might stick an identical one in there -- it's a 0.1 uF cap, and you can find these at Radio Shack (0.1 uF 50V) or online. They are cheap, so give it a shot.

Pilot light problem

Most power lights are line voltage, i.e. 12v power=12v lamp, 120v power=120v lamp. Get a voltmeter and see what voltage is goin' to the lamp. Once you have determined that,, 12v lamps are easily found @ auto parts stores. 120v @ Radio Shack or electronics supply stores.

I got a roland jx-1 keyboard with no power supply. i tried radio shack power supply (12v - 500ma) as mentioned at the back of the keyboard and i was able to turn it on but couldn't hear any sounds..plz...

search google for "JX-1 FACTORY RESET". If that does not help, try your headphones. If that neither, you blew the Audio Power Amp circuit. Take it to a Tech. Good luck !!

Roland jx 1

I guess that Roland needs a supply specs about 12VDC at 800mA to 1A with the center tip as + and ring of adapter as - better to use with 12Vdc at 1A, IMHO, hope this helps.

Drum kit won't power up

Get a voltmeter and check the power to see if it is working at the plug. the voltage should be 12vdc. If you don't have a meter, just take the power adaptor to radio shack, or any electronics supply house.
They'll check it for you. below is a copy of the manual. Good Luck!

BEHRINGER AM400, I seem to be getting what appears to be a hissing sound coming from my brand new acoustic modeler pedal. If I turn the "attack" level right down it seems to reduce the problem....

First of all you should try to use another guitar - if the problem is still there try using different batteries or another power supply unit and finally a different amplifier. If none of these actions lead to success i would send it back if i were you.

When you buy equipment you should always test it at the shop to avoid such problems!

Good evening, I bought a second hand Mackie mixer 1604 VLZ-Pro, and I was not lucky. First of all I had to buy a new transformer which I already mounted. The problem is that after I turned it on all the...

With LED intensity changing with operations, that MIGHT be a symptom of the power supply going into current limiting mode.

The first thing I would do is to check the power supply voltages with an oscilloscope to assure that the voltages are stable and not dipping...

Now from my experience when I hear that a transformer had to be replaced that means it suffered over voltage or under frequency. I would IMMEDIATELY suspect that one or more of the rectifier diodes might be open. With only half wave into the caps the voltage will dip below what the regulators can handle giving weird effects. Check the +/- 16 volts with a scope that they are PURE DC and don't have ripple due to either damaged diodes or C6 or C7 being degraded. I assume you have a schematic... if you don't here is a link:

The zoom g1x is dead. no power. tried adapter from my other zoom pedal but nothing. opened it up and everything seems in tact. was working fine saturday, dead sunday. only one month old.

The first thing i would check is the ac adapter .Make sure you are getting the correct voltage from the adapter. If you know how to use a voltmeter or know someone that has a volt meter, check it with it unplugged from the guitar pedal, most of these have a voltage range from 9 to 12 volts could also take it to your local radio shack or local repair shop and they will be glad to check it for you for free.after you confirm the adapter and it is ok then the next thing you will check is the input jack assy on the pedal, input jack assy are soldered onto the board at the factory, these jacks ,no matter what it is are famous for cracked solder joints where the pins of the jack go into the board because of stress delivered to it during plug ins and plug outs.if you dont know how to use a sldering gun or dont want to you will have to take it it to your local repair shop-cost should be around 15.00, 20.00 tops, make sure that your guitar cables are good, check the 9volt battery inside the unit if it takes one,if its dead that could be your problem,if all above fails i would send it back to the factory or wherever you bought it.,good luck been playing for about 30 years myself, rock on
