Ok couple questions first what is the model number of your machine? Oh i see your unit is a top loader ok LD is a long drain error code here are a couple things you can do to fix the problem
.First, attempt to unplug the washer for at LEAST 30 minutes to reset the Central Control Unit (CCU). Sometimes this is all that is required to correct momentary glitches with the unit. If the error code returns, proceed to step 2.
2.Check the drain hose to make sure it is not kinked or clogged.
3.Check the electrical connections to the pump and ensure the pump is running.
4.Remove the drain pump filter and check for foreign objects and/or debris.
To check the drain pump, click on the following link for step-by-step instructions

If the above procedures do not correct the problem, it is recommended by the manufacturer to replace the drain pump if you have any further questions please message me back and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped in your appliance situation thanks again

Hi

Error code LD means Long Drain. It flashes when washer takes longer than 5 minutes to pump out water to a point where the operating pressure switch resets. With the tub empty try a Drain and Spin only cycle. If the LD error is still there then access the control board in the console. There is a pressure hose. Make sure it is not kinked or twisted. You can remove it and try to blow through it to the air trap. If you can't blow through it then this might be the cause of the LD error. Just make sure that the pressure hose is clear and that the drains pump does drain and is working fine. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Take it apart and clean it and also clean the pump filter.

As I said if you have cleaned the pump filter and still it wont drain water out then check the drain pump operation if it is not working then it should be replaced.

Drain pump and drain pump filter is located at the bottom of the unit. Post back with the model no if you need more assistance.

"FL" flashes if any overfill condition occurs. This condition occurs when excessive water in the tub causes the overfill switch to trip. The control must realize that the trip was due to an overfill condition instead of a suds lock condition in order for "FL" to be displayed. If you have already cleaned everything and you are sure that the pump is working fine then press cancel to clear display.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

I would suggest/guess that there is likely to be a problem with either the lid/door solenoid/lock or the 'lid/door closed' sensor requiring a service engineer's attention. Sorry ;-0(

If this has assisted and/or clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Control Lock is on my front loader.

ok, you are in the model selection part of the service mode. for 6240 I believe the model code is 3 select this and press start. normally to release control lock press and hold small I button by start button.
if model selection in incorrect it can still be corrected. only difference in models is cycles matching the labels. you can tell by the time indication for each cycle if it doesnt look right then check book inside top cover
