Question about Toshiba Satellite Pro S300-EZ2501 Laptops
The F2 function on this laptop merely cycles the power plans (see link below)
The symptom you describe is that of the OS or a boot device not being recognised. Try removing any USB dongles from the laptop if any are plugged in, eject any CDs in the tray and retry
If this does not work, as the laptop starts up, press the ( I think) F1 key and enter the Bios, see if in the BOOT screen, the hard drive and CDRom are shown. Repost your findings for more guidance

Sounds like your hard drive died. If hard drive is dead you wont be able to get into anything but the bios. Hold down the CTRL key when computer starts and dont let go and try to force it into going into bios for you.
