I have a pride mobility scooter three wheel victory about 4 - 8 years old was given to me by a friend. I love this scooter however its started with a problem...it stops and wont do anything
no forward no backward just locks up. Ii am trying to get a general idea what could be wrong and general cost to get fixed or if its worth it . it will start back up or unlock after a few seconds it seems like but im afraid to take it anywhere now for fear it will lock up and stay that way. i am on a very limitied income and have to save funds for this before i can call to get it fixed so im just looking for is this gonna cost me several hundred or an educated guess as to cost i appreciate this ty

This is a speed pot or throttle control problem (wig-wag) have you had some speed issues with the scooter before this happened, if so the wig-wag needs replacing. Make sure it is in the centre position at rest and switch the scooter on again.
Is your track rod bent or out of alignment? Carefully buy the exact wheels with tyres and a track rod if necessary from dismantled Victory XL scooters (a good wheel with a good tyre about €30 - I've done that for my Pride Celebrity XL8 - it was a great success.
check the freewheel lever on th rear of the chair near the right rear wheel if you can push the scooter easily then you are in freewheel locate the lever and move it to the drive mode and try to drive the scooter again if it still won't move then you have other problems that can only be checked by a service tech Hope this helps
