SOURCE: The rice dries out in the "keep warm" mode

You have a strange problem. I use my rice cooker often and the only thing that I can think of that may be casing your problem is if the steam vent is clogged. A clogged vent would cause the steam to condense and run to the bottom.

With the machine empty of food, you could try pouring hot water through the vent to see if this clears any clogs. If it does not, it could be other problems that I can tell you will cost more money to fix than to replace with a new Rice cooker.

Good Luck.

SOURCE: LCD, buttons work Unit heats

The problem with your unit is the heater and the heater control. Usually when the rice cooker cooks after cooking it switches to warm mode this is to ensure the rice remains warm. The sensor or part of the control board which is responsible for this transition is most likely damaged. Get both the control board and the sensor. If the unit gets to warm then the heaters are still working but if the temperature does not go beyond warm then the sensor or the control board is the cause of the source of the problem. Hope this solution has been helpful?

I need a replacement part for a Panasonic rice cooker SR-IHZC10N. The part I need is called Keep Warm Cap.

That is a hard piece to find; it actually collects water when you open the lid after rice is cooked and will not affect the keep warm function. Just make sure you pop a cloth under the missing cup before you open the lid. I have been working without this part for a few years now and it has not affected the rice cooking at all.

I just bought a rice cooker at a garage sale. It had no instruction manual

To make rice, remove the trivet if you have one as this is only for steaming food.

Wash rice to get rid of excess starch and put in pan. Then add the same amount of water as rice (2 cups water to 2 cups rice etc.) then shut lid and switch on and leave it.
Once it has switched off do not open the lid for a further 20 minutes (the machine will keep the rice warm do not worry) Stir rice and serve. Most rice cookers will keep the rice warm for a couple of hours.

If you find the rice is a bit dry then add a little bit more water, the amount of water really depends on the quality of rice used.

Hi my daughter accidently spilld water on my mobile phone and now I cant see the screen ? what do I need to do.thank you

Don't try to turn on again, remove the battery, Shake it enough till drops no more water, then put it in some place warm like near a lamp, Another solution is to get a plastic bowl, fill it with raw rice then take your phone inside the rice totally covered by it. leave it under the sun or a warm place.
Ways a day or less, the warm help to evaporate the water and the rice is also natural moisture absorptive.
Also as you tr to turn it one, will maybe need to clean the battery contacts on the battery itself and on the phone, use a electric contact cleaner or use a abrasive little peace of sandpaper to remove any waste on the contacts.
If all the above fail take it to a repair shop.

My ipod lights stopped working after it fell into water.

As with all electronic devices that get wet, do not panic.
Bury your iPod into a container of rice and leave it for about a day. Rice will soak out all the moisture there is. The next day your iPod should function.
If it still doesnt, then go to the the Apple Store. If you bought the device and it hasn't been one year yet, you may be able to get a free replacement on the spot.

I am having the same problem. Here is what the Tiger people say. I haven't tried it yet though.
* If an external power failure has occurred, but only for a short time, then there's a possibility that when the electricity has returned, all functions may work normally and the clock is working correctly.
* When a power failure lasts for a long time, and the indicator is flashing 0:00...
--> Please set the time correctly by following the instruction manual.

If the electricity has returned as in these situations below:
(If it's already past the set time, after a lengthy power failure, cooking starts immediately.)
* While cooking rice (or reheating rice).
--> Continue to do the cooking (or reheating).

* Keeping warm (or Low temp Keeping warm).
--> Continue to keep warm (or low temp Keeping warm).

My phone fell in the toilet and now all of my buttons do the wrong function

Take your battery out, and put your phone in a bowl of rice right away when this happens. The rice soaks up all that water. Leave in rice for about 24 hours. Never turn it on and start using it right after the liquid, because it is electronic it will more than likely act strange or stop working altogether.

Purchased Durabrand Rice Cooker model HRC 18G working fine Is there a User manual for this cooker? All that is needed is ratio of water to rice including plain long grain and Basmati rice for 1 - 4...

Instructions quoted from the Durabrand Rice Cooker model HRC 18G manual...... 1 cup of uncooked rice rice will make about 2 cups of cooked rice. Add rice to the inner pot. Maximum four cups uncooked rice for the model. Many varieties of rice can be used including basmati, wild rice, arborio risotto, saffron rice and long grain rice. Whole grains, such as barley can also be prepared with the rice cooker, follow instructions on the package.

For every cup (160ml) of raw rice, add 1-1/2cups of water. For stickier rice add slightly more water, for fluffier rice use slightly less water.

When your rice is cooked, the cooker will automatically switch to the warm function and the yellow warm light will turn on. The cooker will stay in the warm function untill is disconnected from the wall outlet. The cooker will keep the rice warm 158F - 212F

Hope this helps, its quoted right out of the manual I have for my cooker
