Depending on what model Coolpix you have, look for either "Copy" or "Backup" in the Setup or Playback menus. If you can't find it, please reply to this post specifying the model.

Hello there, for transferring media from the memory card to your computer it is much better to remove the memory card from the camera slot and use a card reader as the operating system of your computer will detect it as new media found and you can easily drag and drop the files you want to utilize and will save battery on your camera as well.

How do we get images that are on the camera memory not the sd card off the camera. We tried via nikon transfer to the computer and the computer doesn't see them, but it says there are 196 pix


To copy pictures to/from the internal memory, select Copy from the Setup menu. If you want to transfer them to a computer, remove the memory card before making the connection.

Problem


One of the advantages of higher-end cameras is speed. You might get a SLIGHT improvement with a higher-speed memory card, but I doubt it.

If you really need to take pictures quickly, you need a different camera.

Nikon Coolpix L4 Memory card problem


Back up all the pictures on the card and then format the card.. Everything will be back to normal.
Note: While formatting select FAT32 file system as it is more reliable..

Screen is Blank..


A sudden jolt like that can damage the working parts of the lens, and or the internal connections. What can happen is that the small connectors can become unhooked and lose conductivity. If that happens, then you various controls or all controls will quit.
Because the screen is blank or black, it could also mean that the LCD is broken.
