I expect the filter needs cleaning in that case.
Clean the filter and that should fix that.

I have a Beko condenser dryer 6kg. Every time I press start the clean filter comes on and it will not start. start button flashing I have held it in and clean filter comes on. What is wrong?

This happened to me once ... but with a different dryer. I had a blockage in my exhaust vent -- from the lint that made it through the lint screen over the course of several years. I cleaned out the exhaust vent tube, and made sure that there were no blockages to the air and it worked just fine after that.
If that's not your problem, you might have a bad air flow sensor or a problem with your dryer's air intake fan -- if either of these are not working properly, they could convince the dryer that the lint filter is clogged (because not enough air is making it through) ... but I'm sorry to say I am not able to help you with that any more than describing possible problems (I do most of my own repairs through trial and error ... but I would have to have the machine in front of me to work on it).
If removing all blockages from the exhaust vent system does not clear up the problem, you might want to hire a professional to come look at it -- they will be able to tell you what is wrong with is pretty quickly.

How do I twist the light bulb to remove it? it seems very tight and unmovable.

This is pretty common and can be a pain. It's tacked in place with contact cement or hot glue, and sometimes there may have been enough moisture to corrode and seize up.

You could heat it up (hair dryer, maybe?) but be careful if heating so you don't burn anything.

I like to put a little WD-40 or rust buster on the threads of the new bulb, too. Grease, Vaseline, cooking oil, or anything like that will work. Just a thin coat.

WMH 1162X VS -1 (watts unknown) Builder purchased

If the oven is set up to vent outside, then the metal mesh grease filters are used, and they should be cleaned in warm soapy water whenever they look greasy or dirty.

If the oven is set up to recirculate, then the charcoal filter is used, and it must be replaced (not cleaned) every 6-12 months, depending on use.

This model does not have a separate cooling fan like most other models. It replies on the vent fan for magnetron cooling, so if the filter(s) gets too dirty, it can reduce the cooling air flow, which can allow the magnetron to overheat and be destroyed.

I would need to know a little more to help narrow down the "no heat" problem.

If the cooling fan, turntable, and inside light all come on when you press "Start" to cook, then I would ask if you here a "thump" when you press "Start."

If so, then the high voltage section is getting energized. If not, then it may be the cook relay on the control board, which I can affordably repair.

The support page for your oven is here, and it has manuals and part lists you can download.

For more free DIY and other help & advice, feel free to contact me with your full model number and FCC ID number from the tag on your oven.

Lg aircon not working, but no error msg.

Hi, From what you are telling me it is a ductless LG split system, with an indoor unit to blow air and the condenser will be outdoors on a pad. Sounds like it is getting voltage to the indoor unit, but when you set it to come on and you here this noise, it then stops. Is the noise coming from this indoor unit where the air comes out? Is it tripping the breaker to where you have to reset it, or do you turn it off after it stops? I think that you have a problem with the blower motor going out and it is trying to start, but fails to come on and blow air. This is something that I would not be able to have you check. It is a componant that requires a tech to come out and check. We have the tools for these units and if the motor is going out it would be very difficult for you to replace on you're own unless you know electrical and trouble-shooting.I hate to inform my clients to have to call out a tech, but in this kind of situation, you have no choice. Please keep me updated and if you can, go outside and locate the condenser.Turn the stat on and see if the outdoor unit runs. If it comes on, that is good. It would be the blower motor on the evaporator unit inside. Keep me updated, Sincerely,
Shastalaker7

My GE spacemaker oven will no longer heat the food. can I replace the heating thing?

Yes, GE Customer Service is here, and they can tell you what model would be a "drop-in" replacement for your model.

If you or someone you know would rather fix yours, which can often be done pretty easily, (on some models the magnetrons have 10 year warranties) please post a NEW FixYa inquiry that includes your full model number from the tag in or on the unit, and the answer to these questions:

- When you try to microwave, do the inside light, internal cooling fan, and the turntable all come on?

- Is it louder or quieter than usual?

- Is it making any odd noises?

(We have a sound clip of what a microwave should sound like when the cooling fan and high voltage section are working.)

Otherwise, if this takes care of you...

Heat doesn't come on in microwave

If you have the experience with discharging a capacitor and you have a (VOM) Volt Olm Meter. Unplug microwave, discharge capacitor, and check the resistance of the two thermal cut-off discs by removing the lead and set VOM to RX1. If you don't get a reading of zero, replace the discs. For part go to www.partselect.com and enter your model number. If you found any of these suggestions helpful, please rate my solution. D. Lange

Please unplug the oven first!

This is pretty common and can be a pain. It's tacked in place with hot glue, and sometimes there may have been enough moisture to corrode and seize up.

You could heat it up (hair dryer, maybe?) then use needle nose pliers. Be careful if heating so you don't burn anything.

You may be able to put the tips of needle nose pliers inside the broken bulb's socket, gently but firmly force the pliers jaws apart and then rotate the pliers to loosen it.

Another cool trick is to put a big glob of hot glue on the end of a stick or dowel, then shove it into the broken base and let it cool about 5 minutes, then turn the stick.

I like to put a little WD-40 or rust buster on the threads of the new bulb, too. Grease, Vaseline, cooking oil, or anything like that will work. Just a thin coat.

Once you get new bulbs in it, please let me know if you the lights are still not working. This is usually a problem on the control board that can be easily repaired.

No heat

It can be both the heat fuse that gone or your pilot light has gone out, check to see if you see a flame while it is functioning, to do this turn on your dryer and watch in the dark so that you can actually see the flame coming on and off or check behind the little door that houses the pilot light to see if you see a flame if no flame relight, this should start your dryer producing heat again
