To reset Internet Explorer settings

  1. Close any Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer windows that are currently open.

  2. Internet Explorer is not working. What I can do - ?id=microsoft.windows.resources.shellexecutetopiciconClick to open Internet Explorer.

  3. Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.

  4. Click the Advanced tab, and then click Reset.

  5. Select the Delete personal settings check box if you would like to remove browsing history, search providers, Accelerators, home pages, and InPrivate Filtering data.

  6. In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, click Reset.

  7. When Internet Explorer finishes restoring the settings, click Close, and then click OK.

  8. Close Internet Explorer.

Your changes will take effect the next time you open Internet Explorer.

Notes
  • If you close all visible windows, but still get an error message when trying to reset, you might have programs running that are not visible. Restart Windows, open Internet Explorer, and try resetting again.

  • To back up your home page or home page set before resetting Internet Explorer defaults, see Back up your home page or home page tabs.

  • If any of the categories fail to reset, it is because Internet Explorer could not access a file or registry setting. This can be caused by insufficient security privileges, files or settings being used by another program, or low memory or high CPU usage. You can either continue to use Internet Explorer without restoring these settings, or restart your computer and try to reset again.

  • If you are using Internet Explorer on a server and have turned off Enhanced Security Configuration or hardening (stronger security settings for use on servers), reset will go to client-level security. You must reinstall hardening if you want the increased security level. For more information on Enhanced Security Configuration, see Enhanced Security Configuration for Internet Explorer online.

Only when I am on farmville..It says I have on internet?

Is your Adobe Flash player up to date ?
Have you tried to clear your cache ?

Are you able to play other games apart from Farmville?
Do you get any error message or error code? Here are a few things that you can try -

a) Check the Internet Connection. Internet games need a good internet speed to buffer and load.
b) Try to open the game on a different browser and a different computer. Check if the issue persists.
c) Close other applications and open windows and then try to load Farmville.
Method -

You need to perform the steps from the article mentioned below-

Additionally, you may refer the steps by Sandeep Ghatuary from the thread mentioned below-

Google chrome crashes everytime i open a website i want to fix it but i do not know how to have tryed a few thing i searched up they did not work

When all the suggested solutions don't work - try completely uninstalling and then reinstalling from a new downloaded file - not the one you used to install this current version (assuming you saved the download the first time). That should get you working again.

When I try to login facebook my computer now says internet explorer cant display this page, why? and how can this be corrected

This may or may not work, but try https:// instead of http://. If you look at the address bar at the top of internet explorer you should see it. Another thing to try is either updating internet explorer, or using a different web browser. Personally I like using the Chrome web browser but there are other excellent options like Firefox. Firefox is a little more convenient. If neither using https://, updating your browser, or downloading a new one works, than depending on the network you are using Facebook might be being blocked. (if you are at a school or at work). I hope this helps!

Latest Internet Explorer: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/worldwide-sites.aspx If you have windows 7 than you do not need that link up there. Chrome browser: http://www.google.com/chrome/intl/en/landing_chrome.html?hl=en Firefox browser: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

When i try to watch movies or videos online, it says out of memory for line... it always gives me different numbers

I've seen this recently with a client using Internet Explorer.
You can go into the Internet Explorer tools and reset all settings to default.
I would first try a different browser like Firefox or Chrome. Do the videos/movies work there? If so, then the problem is the settings in IE.

Resetting Internet Explorer.

When you reset Internet Explorer settings, all add-ons and customizations are deleted, and you basically start with a fresh version of Internet Explorer. This article helps you reset Internet Explorer.

To have us reset Internet Explorer for you, go to the “Fix it for me” section. If you would rather reset Internet Explorer yourself, see how to do it in the "Show me how to do it" section or go to the “Let me do it myself” section.

If the problem is caused by damaged or incompatible Internet Explorer settings or add-ons, you can usually resolve the problem by resetting Internet Explorer settings.

To use the Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature from Control Panel, follow these steps:
  1. Exit all programs, including Internet Explorer (if it is running).
  2. If you use Windows XP, click Start, and then click Run. Type the following command in the Open box, and then press ENTER: inetcpl.cplIf you use Windows Vista, click Start
Type the following command in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER: inetcpl.cplThe Internet Options dialog box appears.
  3. Click the Advanced tab.
  4. Under Reset Internet Explorer settings, click Reset. Then click Reset again.
  5. When Internet Explorer finishes resetting the settings, click Close in the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box.
  6. Start Internet Explorer again.
For detailed information about the changes that the Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature makes on your computer, go to the "How the Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature works" section.

You can do either of two things:
In Internet Explorer, choose [Internet Options] under the [Tools] menu selection.
[Advanded] tab
scroll down to the "Security' section
UN-check the "Warn about invalid site certificates"
[OK] [OK] [OK]
close and restart Internet Explorer.

#2:
If not satisfied with iE8, you can un-install it and the previous version that you had will re-install itself (and keep all your favorites, etc. intact).
[Start] [Control Panel]
[Add/Remove Programs]
Scroll most of the way down to [Windows Internet Explorer 8]

Facebook closes Internet explorer

try using a different browser and see if it's doing the same thing. if you're using internet explorer, you can download firefox at www.mozilla.com or google chrome. if it's doing the same thing, the problem is with your computer, not with facebook.
