Yes, if your video-card does not support the "native" resolution of the monitor, you'll get "fuzzy" pictures, until you replace the video-card.
Since 3/4 of 1920 is 1440, and 3/4 of 1080 is 810, does your video-card support 1440x810 ?
Since 2/3 of 1920 is 1280, and 2/3 of 1080 is 720, does your video-card support 1280x720 ?
You probably would not want 960x540. Correct?
