Hello 1999AirForce,
I am happpy to have helped you before. My concern is that this error code (E002) is also a fuser error code. The E003 you had experienced before Had to do with an error concerning monitoring the temperature of the fusing section. The "fuser " is a high voltage, high temperature and high pressure area that is responsible for taking the toner (which consists of carbon black, polymers(plastic) and other crud that apparently the EPA and OSHA do do not require absolute specifics on and through heat and pressure bonds this powder of "stuff "to the paper. Because the the heat in this area approaches the temperature of combustion it is monitored in many ways. If the temp does not reach the proper degree in a fixed amount of time......error code. If the temperature swings high or low, whether under operation or not....error code. And we are talking milliseconds of differential. It is because of the danger to property (and more like lawsuits) that every little aspect of the fuser is failsafed. And the monitoring of the fuser is so precise that even a fluctuation in line voltage,( which is used to calculate an algorithm) can cause an error. In fact , fluctuations in the line voltage is a primary cause for fuser errors. So, The initial code you had ....E003 which means that the temp reading of the fuser was incorrect could have been erroneous. There are "thermistors" that monitor the temp and actually touch the rollers. They can become dirty from toner crud and give false readings. But it appears you were able to reset the code. The error E002 is very similar. I can help you reset this code as well. But the fuser for your machine is basically good for @ 150K. It also has limited serviceability It can be seviced but I strongly suggest that the entire unit be replace if it is close to 150 k. Now, lets try to reset your code and then you can make the call depending on what options you have. But please remember that if you are in an area that the line power you have is suspect...... then you neen to write this sequence down just in case that its just power fluctuations.Ok , here we go. Press "additional functions"......then press the numbers 2and 8 at the same time, then press additional functions again. This will put you into service mode......typically used by only trained field engineers. The new menu you see will look wierd as it will be blue and have several "boxes" on the menu with "COPIER" at the top of the list.Touch copier and it will highlight, then press "ok" at the lower right corner. This will summon a new menu which will have several tabs at the top. Of those tabs prees "function". Now there will be many items listed in the main field of the screen. One of the items will be "CLEAR". Press it, it will hihglight. One of the options will be "ERR". Press it, it will highlight. Press "ok" located at the lower right corner. The copier will not acknowedge that you have done so so dont expect whistles and bells. :-) Now, press reset until you get back to the main(I'm pissed off screen) which wll again display the error code. Now reach around the right side at the back, slightly below the halfway point and you will see/ feel the rocker switch that is truly the main power and shut it off. Wait 5 secs, and power it back up. The copier will attempt to reset itself and probably will. If it does then cool. Please remember, poor power can cause this problem, and if tha meter count is close to, or exceeds 150,000 copies just buy (request) a fuser. the part number is FG6-6038-000. Let me know if I can help you more. THANX 4 YOUR SERVICE.

How do I clear error code E000003-0000

ppress additional functions, 2 and 8 then additional functions again

Go through the following to clear the error: CLEAR >
ENGIN > ERRCLR; and then turn OFF and then ON

I think, I dont have an ir2800 manual. This is an error in the fusing section, so it may come back and require some parts replaced.

Error code E000002-00007

Hello texantea,
Interesting, you had a fuser handy. That is exceptional. I wish I had a key operator as handy as you. Now to the point. Since you had a fuser code you will need to go into service mode to reset this error. I know the copier said turn off and turn on and blah blah. I have no idea why they do that when its a known fact that a fuser code(for safety reasons) cannot be reset by the customer. However if you go into service mode, typically used by us toner monkeys, the code can be reset. Here is what you need to do. Press "additional fonctions" on the op panel then press both numbers 2&8 at the same time and then press additional functions again. You will see a new and wonderful screen called service mode. The topblock of several will say copier. Press copier. At the top will be several tabs and one will say "FUNCTION". Press it. At about the center of the screen you will see "CLEAR". Press clear. Now you will see a menu which includes "ERR". Press err and then in the lower right corner press "OK". This will indeed reset the copier and allow the device to forget its past problems and take a fresh look at the start-up process. Once you have pressed ERR and then "OK".... power the copier off by the power switch located at the far rear portion of the right panel. Power it back up in a few seconds and if the new fuser you put in is good, you will be back in copier heaven.TADA!!!! Good Job! Please be sure to return to "FIXYA" and let them know I helped you , or cuss me like a dog. Either way I truly hope this helps. Take care!!!! :-)

Hello 1999.We can reset the code together. And for many errors the copier can be reset, and then recover, then move on like normal. However the code you have (E000003-0000) means that an extremely temperature sensitive area of the machine misbehaved. And the copier gets really anal about monitoring this temp so the code may return as soon as the copier runs a diagnostic, but I can assure you we can reset the code so lets give a whirl and hope for the best.Ok, on your operator control panel, next to the nine key pad,is a button that says "additional functions".Locate it and we will perform a 3 step function that will allow you to enter "service mode" which will let you clear the code. Press "additional function", release it and then immediately press the 2 and 8 buttons simultaneously, release them and then press additional functions again. As I said this is a 3 step process that should be done in a smooth but timely fashion. If done properly this will summon a new screen that will show you a few "blocks" and the top block will say COPIER. Press it and a new screen will appearwhich will have several blocks across the top of the screen. One will say FUNCTION and you need to press it. Again a new screen. Look at the menu in the body of the screen and you will see CLEAR. Press clear. New screen again and look for ERR. Press ERR. After you have touched ERR notice the "OK" button in the lower right corner of the screen. Touch "ok". Now unplug the copier and wait a few seconds. Now plug that baby back in. The copier will attempt to return to a ready condition by "warming up". This is where the copier may notice a problem with the temp. Then make a copy. This will force the copier to run a brief diagnostic(which you wont see). If the copy successfully exits the copier then you should be ok. But the fact that the code occurred at all Means that at a minimum the copier had previously seen a problem and so the code may return. Hopefully, we just saved you the expense of a service call and all remains well. I hope I have helped you and I will keep my fingers crossed hoping it was merely a momentary problem. Good luck and take care. SPINAL
