Palm T/X synch problem

Ok, I asked the question about my Palm Zire, but I also just bought a Palm T/X. I was able to synch it with my home computer, but when I try to synch it with my laptop, it takes a long time, then it states, "the connection between your device and the desktop could no be established. Please check your connection and try again." Ideas?

Also, this is really dumb, but it didn't come with a manual..what key do I push to get to my Palm calendar?
Thanks
Rebecca

Need Palm Zire 71 Software

Exactly what software are you looking for?

Despite you have no software CD, you can get in PalmOne web site, and in the support and download section, you can download all the basic and need applications and software for it.

Palm Zire to itouch

Those two devices are not compatible to one another. You may get it to work by exporting the Palm desktop data into a CSV file and importing it into the program you use to sync the Itouch with.

Hotsync with two computers

I just posted a similar kind of problem. With my old M105, this worked fine - Outlook on my work computer, Palm Desktop on my home computer. When I upgraded to Zire 31, I saw that message about 2 computers once during the past week, but never again. I was thinking about using the Install CD again on my work computer to see if there is an option for synching between 2 computers. (synching to 2 different computers seems to be the most reliable backup for one bad synch)

Synchronizing with Outlook

If the installer cannot see outlook, then it will not show the option. I think the Zire 31 CD has an option on it it that allows you to switch when you put the CD back into your PC. It should be visible on the autostart screen that pops up when you insert the CD.

Zire 72 and Outlook 2003 - I think I've tried it all! Doesn't work....

you don't need pocketmirror for zire 72 because palm desktop have outlook conduits to handle outlook synching. inorder for you to sync using outlook you must have the outlook conduits installed which seems you have it already installed. you have to disable some older conduits inorder to avoid conflicts with the conduits. to do these follow these steps: 1. right click on the hotsync manager icon on your system tray 2. click on Custom... 3. select Date Book (Outlook) 4. click on Change... 5. select Do Nothing and set it to default 6. click Ok 7. repeats steps 3-6 for Address Book (Outlook), To Do List (Outlook) and Memo Pad (Outlook)
